Has anyone "experienced" the VIP Tent at Jones Beach, NY? There is a Jones Beach website that is selling tickets just to the VIP tent for $60 (an event ticket is also needed to enter the venue) and I am wondering if it is worth it. Are there free drinks? Based on past JB @ JB shows, it does look pretty cool.

Yes I have, last year, it didn't even COST me anything and I'd never do it again.
Expensive beers not much to eat and the RUDEST bunch of asshats I've ever been around. You're pretty far away from being able to see decently and the people there seemed more interested in talking to each other than listening to the music - there were times I couldn't even really hear Jimmy well. One guy got so drunk he p*ssed into his beer cup right behind my friend who got splashed. At least he got thrown out along with his annoying girlfriend who spent the evening prior to that swearing at those of us who had gotten there earlier than she did and were therefore in front of her.

Save your money.
