Asteroid Threat to Earth

I never could understand why an astroid is called an astroid and a hemroid is called a hemroid,shouldnt they be switched!!!

Yeah asteroids would be more fitting or for some people, speed bumps

Yes, the ancient Mayan calendar stops at 2012 and is supposed to be some "sign" of the end of Earth........

Hell, I'm shocked the Mayans even went out as far as 2012.......I mean they had to end it sometime, right?

Lastly, when else do we care anything about what the Mayans said or did so long ago (with apologies to any Mayans lurking here at BN........)?

Well, I'd guess it's sort of like what happens when the odometer rolls over on your car.

If you have a Japanese car, you know you're good for at least one more cycle.

If you have an American car, you know it's about to start getting expensive.

Now...was the Earth created by the cosmic equivalent of Japanese auto workers, or American?
