My horrible allergies keep my windows closed year round although I'd love to be able to do it. I would wake up stuffed up and congested for a week from the mold, fall elm, cedar, grasses, and weeds (OH MY!). Unfortunately moving isn't an option because I just develop new allergies to similar things in the new area eventually. I had a cedar allergy but it wasn't nearly as bad when we lived in Corpus Christi. Now that I living (ironically) in Cedar Park, TX my cedar allergy became much worse. There are more cedar trees in my city than there are people. Fortunately my reaction to oak weakened though so there was some give and take. I'll probably be on allergy shots for the rest of my life. For me, no matter what, the windows stay closed!
Maybe you are allergic to Texas.

No way! I've always been allergic and I've lived in many states. I grew up in Virginia, lived in New Orleans before moving to Texas and was allergic in those places too.

I developed allergies in my late 20's and was on allergy shots for 15+ years. I was finally able to quit and have been relatively allergy free since.

Sweating is a natural reaction. I've never felt a natural urge to shovel.

Cold? I put the down comforter on the bed and I sleep like a baby...
Hot? Can't sleep!
Exactly! There are only so many layers that you can take off before you p*** off the neighbors and get a visit from the local police department.
I so agree with you!
But when some people wear less clothing, it can turn a bad day, good in a hurry.
