The Stanley Cup is expected to be at Saturday's show in Chicago, escorted by Blackhawk star Patrick Kane.
Can Jimmy's "only song I ever wrote about hockey" be far behind?
Drop the puck.
Enjoy
According to WGN etc http://www.chicagobreakingsports.com/20 ... falls.html
The Buffalo News reports: Patrick Kane will get an early start Friday on his first day with the Stanley Cup. The Blackhawks star will bring the Cup to the Cave of the Winds in Niagara Falls State Park on the Hurricane Deck at 8:30 a.m.
Afterward, Kane will meet with pediatric and adult cancer patients and thank local steelworkers for their painted tribute "(Buzz) Pat Kane Wins Stanley Cup" on a sixth-floor steel beam of a building under construction behind Buffalo General Hospital.
Kane will bring the Cup back to Chicago on Saturday night and has promised to bring it to the Jimmy Buffett concert at Toyota Park.

Update:
from http://www.wivb.com out of Buffalo
"(Kane will) also get the Cup Saturday. Part of the day will be spent in Buffalo, then in Chicago. Kane is scheduled to bring Lord Stanley's hardware on stage at the Jimmy Buffett concert."
Wish I was there - hopefully catch it all on UStream.tv
Boat Drinks, anyone?
Hopefully things go more smoothly than they did today:

BUFFALO (WIVB) - Patrick Kane took the Stanley Cup to hew heights. Thanks to a malfunctioning Buffalo Fire Department ladder truck, he stayed there a little longer than planned.
After concluding a photo session with policeman and fireman at New Era Cap Company on Delaware Avenue, Kane was asked by the fireman if he wanted to take a ride in the bucket. He agreed, and climbed into the bucket along with two firefighters.
They raised the ladder about 70 feet about the street, and Kane held the Cup high. But after a few minutes for pictures, word spread that the ladder was stuck. Ten minutes later, two repairman from the BFD arrived and slowly lowered the ladder. A somewhat shaken Kane climbed off the truck back on solid ground.
"A little scary, but I guess everything was just as unexpected," he said with a smile. "I'm just happy I'm down. A little scary, especially when my Dad called me and told me I had to walk down. It was steep. I wasn't nervous up until that point, but I'm just happy to be down.

Its gets better, PHolks.
From nhl.com today:
After several hours in Buffalo, Kane and some of his closest friends are taking a private, chartered flight to Chicago. He was invited to join Jimmy Buffett on stage at his concert at Toyota Park to sing a song and drink a margarita out of the Stanley Cup. Kane will stay in Chicago Saturday night and hand the Cup off Sunday morning.

Re: Jimmy, meet Stanley
Jimmy and Stanley were shown on SportsCentre on TSN (Canada's version of ESPN) tonight.
Patrick, too.
Cup, which next went to Minnesota, is in Madison now.
Wisconsin State Journal catches up on the trip to Margaritaville and Jimmy's reaction to meeting Stanley:
Mike Bolt has stories. If it was your job to ride shotgun for the Stanley Cup, wouldn't you?
Bolt is in Madison for two days with Adam Burish, the Madison native who has the Cup — the revered prize awarded annually to the National Hockey League champion — by virtue of having played last season for the Chicago Blackhawks, who won the Cup in Philadelphia in June.
Bolt, one of two keepers of the Cup, is with the Toronto-based Hockey Hall of Fame and for the past decade he has traveled the world with the Cup.
Each member of the winning team gets to keep the Cup for a day or two, and Tuesday morning Bolt was at Blackhawk Country Club with Burish, who arrived in a limo with his parents Mark and Helen Burish, and his sister, Nikki, like Adam a former UW hockey standout.
"I only hang with winners," Bolt said Tuesday. He grinned. Saturday night Bolt had been in Chicago with Blackhawks star Patrick Kane, who took the Cup to a Jimmy Buffett concert at Toyota Park. Bolt said they drank a little Landshark beer out of the Cup with Buffett backstage before the show.
"Jimmy was really excited to see the Cup," Bolt said.
