I've been looking for another show close to us to do this exact thing. It's a great party with 20,000 of your closest friends!

Yeah!
I did it by accident in Tampa. I got totally FUBAR and passed out in the car right before the show.
Still one of the best times I've had at a phlocking.

No, not unless the show were totally, completely sold out, really, no scalpers, no tickets, no nuthin.
I still come mostly for the music and (although I love my Buffett friends!) secondarily to tailgate.

Not I! I love Jimmy, the band and the music. Parking lot comes in second for me! But it totally makes the show a whole lot better! But I've only been to 10 concerts, well 11 but only seen 10 and I haven't totally gotten over missing the one!

We go for both the tailgate and the show. We never tire of seeing Jimmy and the band.
However, if we couldn't get tickets we would still want to go to the pre parties and tailgate and party with our phriends. Oh and lets not forget the buying of the official concert shirt!!

My problem is we can't afford to attend too many of Jimmy's concerts, budget reasons and all, so a chance to tailgate with Parrotheads still let's us enjoy the experience, but on our budget.

Certain venues (STL) you can hear the show out in the lot very good, so I could see setting out partying with friends and listening to the show.

Each to their own! However, for me, no! I love tailgating, but the JB show is the reason I tailgate. I party before the show, and JB caps off the party very nicely for me. If I just want to party I can stay at home, break out the frozen concoction maker, and listen to the show on RM.

I think it would hurt my feelings if I had all that fun at the tailgate and didn't get to see the show at the end !!! But if I absolutely couldn't get tickets...............

No way. I like to tailgate as much as the next PH but I gotta get in there and feel the music. Even if you don't want to spend for pavilion, you can find lawn seats at any show for $10-$20.

I've gone to 3 tailgates without tickets and wound up going to all 3 shows, 2 of them for free.
