The Wall Street Journal covered this (they added a "Greater New York" section a couple of months ago) and they had a picture of Jimmy & Jane.

Well I kind of like that shirt. It's not the best thing he has ever worn but it's not that bad. And besides better be careful. Maybe Jane picked it out for him.

I didn't know it was called the green tomato either. But then when Jimmy Buffett isn't on stage performing, what he does and where he does it is of no interest to me. [smilie=noeyedear-shrugging.gif]

Laird Hamilton is the man. Check out the ride starting about 2 minutes into this video.

It was a pleasure and a hell of an evening
Truly was our night to win
But the authorities insist on my leaving
Take care my American friend

Maybe the shirt was an attempt to attract some of the attention away from Laird! :D

You can read all about the Green Tomato in the journal Jimmy did for Margaritaville.com. I loved that journal and wish Jimmy would do more, like one for the trip to Bamako or the trip to Tahiti. Anyway here is the link. It's great reading even if you don't car about the van.

Holy crap! I just watched that surfing video. I literally have nightmares about waves like that. I think I'd be terrified even watching that from shore.

And Laird sure is purty!!!! :D

Those aren't palm trees. They're fireworks.

Look like palm trees to me...especially when I consider who's wearing the shirt.
