I concur! :D

I'm not a Kenny hater per se (I like his music, but 'seeing' him / his videos makes my skin crawl for some reason. He just seems soooooo fake), but I admittedly CRINGE whenever I see this called "Kenny's song". It's Mac's song, and it's amazing.
And I concur with the fine print.
I can't read the fine print!Thank God it show's up normal size when you reply on a quote!
HAHA! That is the only way I could read both of them as well!
I've gotta disagree with the fine print... I don't think there is anything fake about Kenny. He writes some pretty good music...by many accounts he's pretty good live...and he's created his own "pop country" style over the last 10-15 years. He's been doing long enough and sucessfully enough it doesn't come off fake to me.

If you don't have a copy of the disk I'd highly recommend his Lucky Old Sun album. There are tracks featuring Mac, The Wailers, Dave Matthews, and Willie Nelson.
But all of those pics of Kenny in the islands are photoshopped  And everybody knows that Jimmy is the only one allowed to sing about islands. Seriously if Kenny Chesney is fake then every BNer's new love Zac Brown is fake. I guess if he makes a couple more island-esque songs he'll be fake too. I can see him in the islands now, hot as hell and still wearing a toboggan.

Like I said, I have no problem listening to Kenny... I've got plenty of his cd's, going back to his sexy tractor. But seeing him perform bothers me. Has nothing to do with Jimmy or islands or anything else. Zac and band? Very natural... very comfortable... very enjoyable to watch. Kenny on the other hand just looks like a twit (to me) who tries way too hard to look cool. I don't buy it, but I completely understand that many many people completely disagree with me.

And what's with the cowboy hat? Most pics of Kenny off stage he's wearing a baseball cap. Never ever ever do you see him letting his bald shine. But why wear a cowboy hat on stage and in photo shoots and on album covers if he doesn't in 'real life'? George, Alan, etc? On or off stage, they're natural in their cowboy hat.

I've known many a country boy that wore a cap when feeding cattle, pulling calves, fishing etc (basically everyday chores) and a cowboy hat to rodeos, out dancing, church (of course they take it off when they enter church) etc.

But the bottom line is he probably wears a cowboy hat because it's his personal preference. Is he not entitled?

I like Kenny. He seems like a decent guy, he works hard, and he puts on a high energy show. I felt like I definitely got my money's worth! I'm looking forward to seeing him in concert again.

Besides that, people who I think very highly of speak well of KC as a person, and that goes a long way with me.

My wife likes the guy but I refer to him as Kenny CHEESEY, because he taps into Jimmy's kinda music and tries to give off that persona. Look at the guy's website it screams Jimmy Wanna Be. At least Zac Brown seems more authentic and a lot more real in his music.

I think Kenny's made some great musical choices.

His new CD is a called "Hemingway's Whiskey" ... after the Guy Clark song. Way smart choice. 8)

In my opinion "That Lucky Old Sun" is the album Jimmy Buffett still wishes he could make.
