For me, it's "Cowboy in the Jungle". I think those lyrics were written specifically for me because, if I weren't married with kids, I could see myself saying "Ef it", cashing in the 401k, buying a sailboat and letting my wanderlust take me to ports unknown.

My other favorite JB song line is from Lone Palm: "we sail from the port of indecision, young and wild with oh so much to learn, but days turn into years, as we try to fool our fears, but to the port of indecision, I return"
It's absolutely classic and probably speaks to many of us.

I can honestly say different Buffett songs at different times have felt like the lyrics were written for me. Son of a sailor has always been near and dear to me because my son is a SOASOAS. And as I am 38 now Pirate looks at 40 means more to me every day. The one that kind of explains me is It's My Job. The song explains me and having reponsibilities to people and when it all goes right it's like the line about being on stage.

As I get older and older, I start to feel even more in sync with the ex-pat in "He Went to Paris". You just keep muddling through, taking things as they come, and when the time comes and you can look back:
"Some of it's magic, and some of it's tragic, but I had a good life all the way".
Which is probably why it's in my sig line.

I share "It's my Job" a lot with my co-workers, since we're bankers the line about the uncle that owned a bank ring true. And though most days my job drives me absolutely insane and there's a lot about it I would change at the end of the day it's "Without it I'd be less than what I expect from me"

Lots of different ones on different days. I heard Oysters and Pearls the other day and it really spoke to me...

Also Growing older but not up. I'd rather die while I'm living than live while I'm dead.

Wow, that's a really good (and deep) question. Seriously, no joking. I'm petty much where I thought I'd be, wife, kids, house, dog etc. It's My Job echos much of this; Gypsies in the Palace also speaks to me somewhat. While my kids are blowing the lock of the liquior cabinent (at least not yet), the chaos the song paints reminds me of my life at home with kids running around and fighting and having to go to soccer practice and the doctor and hockey practice, etc, etc etc.

TONIGHT I JUST NEED MY GUITAR ... speaks to me and puts Jimmy back in time ... When I fell in love with Jimmy, it was just him and the guitar.

I have to say "It's My Job" rings true right now. For all the support my boss has given me lately, I would do anything for her at anytime. I always give my job 110%

For me it's "Ragtop Day". Especially since my Jeep has the top down and the weather is beautiful! Like the license plate says, (HOT TPLS) HOT & TOPLESS, that's the way I like it!!!!
