Caribbean Soul Poster
Hi All!
I bought a poster about 10 years ago, and just recently found it in a closet still in the cardboard tubing. Just for fun, I started researching it and cant seem to find it anywhere, or anything about these posters. The longer I couldnt find, the more interested I became to get information on it. I couldnt even find one for sale on Ebay.
Does anyone know what happened to the whole Caribbean Soul thing such as posters and shirts? Are these posters worth anything?
Any info is greatly appreciated!

Re: Caribbean Soul Poster
There was some kind of a problem between CS and Jimmy. CS I believe is still in operation but no longer does anything that connects directly to JB.
btw I may or may not be wrong on everything.

Re: Caribbean Soul Poster
At one time it was worth nothing. Apparently. Something to be bought and stuffed into a closet.
Perhaps now it worth taking care of and displaying on the wall somewhere. That's up to you.
At one time Caribbean Soul was *Margaritaville approved/afilliated*. No more.
A few years ago they changed their name to Going Coastal, with a similar lizard logo.

Maybe some legal disputes. Maybe not. Who knows? Now they carry a line of *almost Buffetty* designs,
e.g.
4 O'Clock Somewhere (why wait until 5?),
Got Salt? (parrot sipping on a margarita),
etc.
Not an official Buffett reference to be found.

The Goin' Coastal/Caribbean Soul line of tees are much more appealing than the official Margaritaville stuff, IMO. Top notch designs.

Re: Caribbean Soul Poster
I checked out the website. Don't know how much business they're doing. Their journal's last entry was from early 2005, and the Caribbean Soul page invited me to check out their new spring/summer 2005 designs.surfpirate wrote:More info. You'll enjoy these ......

Re: Caribbean Soul Poster
Thanks all...so far! Keep the responses coming!
I did see Jungledrum sute. Not much there. I called them but no answer.
Just curious. I have been out of the loop for a while, but remember buying those Caribbean Soul shirts with the great "Buffet" designs on them, and didnt even realise they has stopeed making them. Posters too.
I guess I am wondering if what I have is somewhat rare and if it is something some collector may be looking for.

They sold shirts but I'm not sure the car ever made more than a few trips down the track.
Too bad......great looking car.

Too bad......great looking car.
Jimmy wasn't the only one to apparently have issues with them. From what I remember they stopped paying for the car sponsorship out of the blue, and off when the pain scheme. The team was none too happy.

I was anxious to see the car run, but by the time I got to a race, they had already called it quits.jimsig wrote:I think I had one of the Funny Car shirts, but it twas too small.springparrot wrote:http://www.jungledrumsgallery.com/Menues/Frameset.html

I have 2 of those posters...but different designs. One is on the "Beer" fridge and the other is on the "Mixers" Fridge. I'll take pics when i get home. I'd love to get more if they were still made.

Call me spoiled from going to so many drag races, but I can't remember if I saw that car run or not. If it was about the time I was taking pictures I should have them somewhere. Have to look when I get the chance.
