Update please!
i just want to know when it's going to be over :x

folks around here have been talking about how nice the weather has been, and i just end up sitting there speechless. in my book, not needing my long john's and winter boots is nice, but that doesn't make it spring. it's not warm yet and where are the flowers? and we have snow in the forecast next week, wtf?

no accidents yet and i finally found a pair of boots (on sale when i ordered them) http://www.gandermountain.com/modperl/p ... rchID=4006

other than the cold feet because i had such a hard time finding boots, the really cold weather while i was dressed for it wasn't as bad as i thought it was going to be. so thank you for all the advice :D

Well this is the trying time of winter.....when everyone is ready for it to end.
By the beginning of April....the snow will be pretty much gone until maybe late October early November. But that doesn't mean it will warm up to 70. It takes a bit of time for the ground to warm, but all of a sudden it will be 75 or 80. But it still can get cold again...just not freezing.

Oh , BTW the flowers are there...just look close. We have Hyacinths and Tulips coming up out front. Soon the Forsythia will be blooming bright yellow. Then everything will green up and you will hardly remember how tough winter can be up North!

But you have almost made it through.....and you will be a better person for the experience!! Up North....you have to be tough!! I don't own a pair of boots and went through the winter wearing shorts for the most part. I even shoveled snow a few times wearing shorts and crocs on my feet!! You just get use to it. You'll see!

Now the next topic is how long do you think it is until the first snow fall........LOL  :D ...after this week!

If it is any consolation ...this has been a pretty hard winter. Some winters we see little or no snow almost to Christmas.

So welcome to the club.......you almost have your first winter up North behind you...and you are still here.!!

And one more thing .......

After going through an "Up North" winter, you will appreciate spring and summer ever so much more!

unless it gets below 0 for a week, during the day, it really isn't that hard a winter.

You can certainly say that again! You don't realize how much you take your yard for advantage until you don't see it for 3 months.

Just think in a few years you will see a 45 degree day in March and will break out the shorts and short sleeves.
