More times than not I like my dogs more than my family members. They are always happy to see me when I get home, they help me enjoy walking and relaxing, and they don't snore.

Thank you for the kind words. Skibo was very important to me. We knew Ky didn't have much time left and that Ski was getting old, but losing both in the same day has been devastating. I chose Skibo as my handle on most sites in his honor. The wife returned to work today and the house feels so empty. Fortunately, I have enough work to keep me out of the house for the rest of the month. The worst part about working from home is you don't have people to interact with.

I am so sorry for your loss. I'm afraid that my Golden isn't too far off from that final trip to the vet. She's lost a lot of weight, doesn't want to get up too often but the vet can't find anything wrong with her, other than age. It is so, so hard to see them suffer and to loss them. My thoughts and prayers go out to you.
