I was a cop for 23 so I don't trust anyone implicitly......having said that, I have respect and trust in the POSITION.....

As with anything else, there are a few bad apples. Overall, most risk their lives and some give their lives to maintain order. I don't think I could do it.

There are many police men and police forces which are honest and serve the public well.

One thing I don't miss about Vegas though is the police department in that town. They are a bunch of egocentrical killers that care more about themselves than anyone they are hired to protect.

Right now, there's a coroners inquest going on into a shooting which happened a few months ago. Police shot a man at Costco five times in the back and the survellience video is now mysteriously missing.

The department will lie their way through this fiasco (just like they have others in the past) and the city is going to be up in arms about the matter.

Again, I do believe most cops do a good job and are to be respected...its just departments such as this one which make it tough to do so at times.

I've known good cops, bad cops and some that aren't too sure. I respect the men and women who work in law enforcement for their willingness to stick their necks out and work miserable hours and in many place, for a terrible wage. If a police officer says something, I'm willing to give him or her the benefit of the doubt until there is real reason to doubt them. I realize that some are pretty crooked but like all groups, the majority are good.
