When I saw Phish at Alpine Valley this August I got this piece of information from a very reliable source working there.
This person told us that since Dave Matthews is taking 2011 off from touring....that will be two less shows next summer at Alpine. The folks at Alpine want to have at least 6 or 7 shows on the bill for next summer. It is sounding like Phish will play 2 shows next summer and Jimmy is playing one show for sure next summer. But since DMB is not touring.....the big rumor is that they are going to try their best there to get TWO JB SHOWS for 2011, since they know both of those JB shows will be sell-outs. One at the beginning of summer (June) and one closer to the end (August).

Las Vegas used to start & end the West Coast tour swing for a few years. He'd play there on a Saturday in the middle of October, they'd tour CA & WA for a couple dates and then back to Vegas on the following Saturday.

In 2000 he played Las Vegas in April and September. He did it at least one other time in Vegas, I think it was 2005, in April and October.

I'd bet (and I hope, for the sake of those looking for hotel rooms) that Great Woods won't be June 25, since Taylor Swift is playing a few miles up the road at Gillette Stadium that day.

If you're in "just in case" mode you might want to grab a hotel room that you can always cancel later.

Let's hope that isn't when the GW shows are. Traffic in the area would be a nightmare.

Holy crap - the AAA rate at the Residence Inn is $152 per night for that weekend! Last year it was $109 - maybe they raised it for TS. I guess they think teenyboppers parents have lots of money.

My wife and I always book a room once a JB concert date is announced......once the hotels know JB is coming the rates usually do go up quickly.

If we don't get tickets, we cancel and go on our way!

Now that is a good plan to lock in to cheap hotel rates, now we just need the dates!

Don't even go there - several of us waited YEARS on those comments at the concerts, we were ready to go, and then when he DOES go it's an unannounced last minute thing.

Wasn't there a Eagles show or something last year or the year before at Gillette when Jimmy was at GW???.......i don't think Taylor Swift is condidered a Teenybobber...not what she has accomplished....and her fan base.....compared to a Mylie Cyrus
