2011 Tour Date Rumors

Are there any rumors of a future show in Calgary, Alberta, Canada to open up the new Margaritaville there?

If I had to take a guess I would think maybe the 2012 Calgary Stampede witch is the 100th anniversary and it is mentioned in most of the news articles that the Calgary Margaritaville is supposed to be finished and open for then.

I would love a Canadian leg on the tour but I would sedal for just Vancouver as we have a really great temporary outdoor stadium that is just begging for a cool concert next summer!

FYI: Jimmy quit playing at Merriweather Post Pavilion ages ago so take that puppy off your list!
They ban him from ever playing there because the folks who live there don't like tailgating! Instead everyone goes to the Labor Day Weekend shows in Va.

I think the last time he played in Vancouver was some where between 1992 and 1994 but I could be wrong. But I do think the new temporary Empire Stadium Field would make a great out door venue for him to play.

I also wonder why he hits STL in April. April in STL is more often than not a cool and rainy month. An early July or September show would make a lot more sense weatherwise.

Same as him coming to SoCal in October. Oct can be very chilly or rainy and cool evenings. Sept would be much better

Guessing about next year's tour schedule is one of the things that gets me through the winter........

Now that the holidays are rapidly approaching, I was thnking about the show that JB did as Freddie & the Fishsticks a few years ago in a little club in Colorado in December, I think......I wonder if he'll ever do something like that again?

Yeah, I was at his last show at Merriweather concert. The police were a whole lot of fun. I still managed to have a good time though.

i'd give them up if my team was in the Super Bowl and i had tickets....61 Buffett shows .....never been to a Super Bowl.....that can happen once...i can always go to another Buffett show...that would be the only scenario for me

For those of us who are huge sports fans, this would be a tough decision. It's a simple situation of when our passions happen to collide. Back in 1999, I bought some tickets to see Buffett in New Orleans. It was the same week of the SEC Championship football game, and my Alabama Crimson Tide was not playing well at the time tickets went on sale. I bought tickets to Buffett, and then Bama got on a role and made it to the championship game. It was hard to do, but I gave my Buffett tickets to one of my dad's customers and went to see Bama play: Bama won, I had great seats, and it was one of the best atmospheres I've ever seen at a football game! It was our first SEC Championship in 7 years, and it turned out to be our last for 10 years.

Jimmy, I wish you had played New Orleans on a different night. But, on that particular night, I'm glad I didn't see you.
