There's to be a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10:00 a.m., then the doors ophicially open at 11:00. Have phun to all who will be there! Props to whoever made sure that when you're upstairs, you can't hear the band playing downstairs and vice versa [smilie=cheeky-grin.gif] All around a beautiful restoration job; totally feels "Buffetty" but clearly bearing in mind the historic nature of the building.

We already knew the Mayor and I would be there so I guess you could say there were no 'surprise' guest appearances [smilie=cheeky-grin.gif]

It MUST be. There's a really cool big stage upstairs, then a smaller one downstairs below the replica of the Hemisphere Dancer. We thought someone was pulling our legs when they kept talking about a third stage though.

ahhhh...thanks Mollers! You know, I didn't even realize that the stairs were making "music" as people went up/down them! I guess there was just so much going on I couldn't even hear that! Cool!

I think it was in the front corner window near the intersection of Broadway and 4th where we saw the two folks playing/singing while we were standing in line outside.

I might do Thanksgiving diner there unless I get a better offer from friends or I go by there and there is a line waiting to get in.

We sure enjoyed our visit. It was fabulous. You would have *never* known it was opening day. We got there after the lunch run, but they were still very, very busy. Food was great. Had the hot crab, shrimp mushroom dip and the fried green tomatoes. Burgers all around and a crab cake sammich ... with fabulous remoulade sauce. I had the Pomegranate Margarita. Could have sat there all afternoon drinking 'em. Yum-o.

Wish I lived closer to a city with a Margaritaville. But, then, I'd prolly be broke or in jail for driving with numb teeth.

Servers and supervisors were attentive. Everyone wanted to know if we had a good experience.

The location is perfect ... on the corner of Broadway and 4th ... right across the street from the "Mother Church" (Ryman). I'd go back in a heart beat.

Good job, M'ville peeps. Really good job.

A special thanks to Jen (cmntfish) for being such a gracious hostess. Come back to Texas and we'll try to repay you!

Molly: I was so wrapped up in what was going on around me that I forgot to use my camera. It was that way for the whole trip, except when we met up with some of Mr. Mathews' cousins in Brownsville, Tenn. At the end of the trip. Go figure. Just too much going on ... :(

Mollers-there are quite a number of pics of the new place on my facebook page (let me know if we're not "friends" already if you need to do that to see them. Also check the FB page of MusicCityFins (PHins?) for more pics.

Thurs nite Dec 2 was an interesting night at Margaritaville Nashville. Went there for a club 'bored' meeting and . . . . "got lucky" Jimmy, Mac and Wil did a surprise show.
Sorry about the poor cell phone pic. Better ones posted to our Facebook page Fri or Sat.
