KK! I can't believe I found your reply! I haven't been on much since before we left on vacation and I was just flipping around checking things out when I saw this thread. If I'm not mistaken, I think I wrote that just after you PM'd me about going in to sign the relocation papers.
I hope I can make it down. But, remember, Alpine Valley is June 25th. That would be a nice little "Welcome to the Midwest" gift to yourself!

Have you been longing for a quick getaway with sandy beaches and tropical drinks but can’t seem to escape the city’s hustle and bustle? With the opening of Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville Bar & Grill on Monday, June 20, you now have to look no further than the docks of Navy Pier.

Inspired by the lyrics to Buffett’s songs, guests can enjoy a laidback atmosphere, live entertainment and maybe grab a drink or two from the outdoor Tiki Bar while overlooking the waters of Lake Michigan. Along with the signature “Cheeseburger in Paradise,” the American and island-themed cuisine includes fresh fish, steak, and nachos. But, the list is not complete without the margaritas, boat drinks and other frozen concoctions.

And if you would like a souvenir before heading back to your everyday doldrums, don your flip-flops and take a few steps to the Retail Store for some unique tees and other tropical merchandise exclusive to this location.

For Buffett, whose early days began at the former The Quiet Knight (953 W. Belmont) and later found himself serenading the bleachers of Wrigley Field, he is “happy to call Navy Pier home to Margaritaville. Fins up Chicago.”

I was at Margaritaville today (.day before it opened)...It seemed really small inside but an outside area. I did not see a stage through the window. The place looks nice. The gift shop is outside on the hall and its like a bar were u go up to the counter. I plan on eating there on saturday...

Hopefully they adapt, because one thing you definitely cannot count on Chicago is sunny and pleasant weather! When we get them, they're magnificent and beautiful. We just don't get them very often!

They adapted cause my dang B-I-L was texting me all day from there, while I was at work.
