Agreed, I remember actually trying to pull my feet up onto the seat during that one.

I was in fifth grade then...snuck out to see it with a friend and was terrified for weeks after...and grounded.

What really scared me about that was that song those schoolkids sang - no WONDER the birds attacked them!

The Birds really scared me.
Also a cheesy 70's movie called Don't be Afraid of the Dark. It's being remade now. There were these little troll monsters who lived in the basement and killed people and whispered chants and carried sharp little knives. Gave me nightmares for a long time.

I thought we were talking about horror movies, not "what could happen" films or tin-foil-hat, wacko-paranoid-conspiracy movies.
If that's the case, then, "On The Beach" or "The Day After" scares the snot out of me. -"BB"-

Along those lines "Testament" kept me awake for weeks afterwards.

The remake of The Amittyville Horror that came out a few years back made the original look like Sesame Street. During one scene I was startled so much that I threw the hot wing I was eating up in the air and it hit the ceiling and left a red spot.
In recent years, there's a pretty good movie all about halloween called "Trick 'r Treat". It's chock full of all the halloween superstitions and traditions.
As a kid Phantasm, Halloween and Friday the 13th used to scare me.
Right now I've in the process of making my haunted garage. This year's gonna be better than ever.

Evil Dead. I watched his on a sunny Saturday afternoon and it scared the crap out of me.
Recently Paranormal Activity I and II. We saw the second this weekend and it freaked me out just like the first one.

Yes! Freakishly scary, back in those days.
I also got freaked out watching Event Horizon (1997). "A rescue crew investigates a spaceship that disappeared into a black hole and has now returned...with someone or something new on-board."

The Entity with Barbara Hershey What really scared me was that it was based on a true story. Very freaky movie.

Never have seen anything but the edited version of The Exorcist when it made it's network debut. Some friends of mine that saw it at the theatre said they had to sleep with their lights on for a week afterwards. These days, I suspect it's pretty tame compared to the horror flicks that are out there now.
For those that have never seen Trilogy of Terror I believe most (if not all) of it has been uploaded to YouTube.

I've never seen it....won't watch it....even the music scares me.
Hellraiser is probably one that sticks in my head as scaring me as an adult.....
as a kid, "Creature from the Black Lagoon" scared the f*ck out of me.

Evil Dead is a classic in my book. As a kid that movie freaked me out from the pencil in the foot, the demon in the cellar, the old shack, the woods etc.
I liked Paranormal Activity I. I once stood by my wife's side of the bed late at night just like the woman in the movie. At first I startled her but then she almost knocked me out
Is part 2 as scary?
