Saw Prince of Darkness years ago.... just thinking about it still gives me shivers. (And most horror flicks don't bother me.) Something about Satanic influences scares the cr*p out of me...

Fatal Attraction? Is that the name of the one with Glenn Close?

I avoid scary or depressing movies like the plague. I want to be entertained/feel happy after a movie.

I went to see the above by mistake. We went to the little theater in Beaverton and they had put the wrong ad in the paper. We got our ticket to "the movie" (no 4 or 6 movies at this place) sat down and started eating our popcorn when this movie came on instead of the one that was advertised. I would gladly have left. My hubby figured since we paid for it we should stay and see it. :-?

It still gives me the creeps to think about it.

Conolulu wrote:"The Exorcist"......

Still won't watch it.

I never saw it, I read the book and couldn't sleep for weeks! I should have seen it, my imagination and the descriptive writing were probably more frightening!

The more I think about it...this is the scariest movie I have ever seen. Perhaps it was the Catholic upbringing or some other deep seeded fears of demons or something...I don't know. Here's a short clip for those who haven't seen it and want a quick chill......

Okay, that freaked me out. I saw the movie once when I was far to young. I don't think I've seen it since. And, the narrow steep steps that are in the movie are located at the edge of Georgetown in Washington DC. When I got older and went to bars down there, I'd pass those steps on the drive in.

Evil Dead was filmed in Morristown, TN about 15 minutes away from where I attended college. After asking around town for a few weeks, we finally found out the exact location of the house. One night the week before Halloween we snuck up there in the middle of the night and found the house. It has now been burned to the ground, but the chimney still stands. It's pretty creepy looking. I have a brick from the chimney in my garage 8)

When my little sister was about maybe 8 or 9, I made her watch the Exorcist. She had wanted to start watching "horror" films. Told her if she could watch this one, she could watch anything. The next night she asked me if we could rent the sequel, because the first one didn't scare her. She is now over 30, and hasnt been scared yet.

Time to bump this to page one....

Any changes to past picks? I'm still voting for the Shinning and Exorcist.

I can't imagine anyone but Jack playing this part :o

Up early this morning and watched some dopey horror flick called "Triangle"...bunch of 20 somethings on a sailing trip end up on an abandoned cruise ship. I was hoping it would put me to sleep but it turned out to be stupid-scary, in a cheesy way.

I wish I could remember the name of it...there was a movie in the 70's/80's. A babysitter kept getting phone calls from some guy that was hiding in the house. If I remember correctly, he ends of stalking her. That scared the heck out of me.

Evangelical Christianity at its finest. This is probably the truest form of scariness and child abuse all tied up into one.
