STL, based on your description of what you like to do, Caneel will be PERFECT for you! Be sure to get into Cruz Bay for lunch or dinner: the Beach Bar, Woody's for happy hour, Quiet Mon Pub, Rhumbline, Sun Dog Cafe/Gecko Gazebo, the Tap Room...lots of great places to grab a beer and have some food. Now I think I'm going to book a return trip for the end of June!!! Happy planning!

Just gotta chime in here ... if you haven't booked yet, try looking at renting a villa. We're gonna be there for a week in March and have booked an amazing 2 bedroom villa in Virgin Grand Estates. Rented a bigger villa with 2 other couples a couple of years ago and had the vacation of a lifetime (wished it could have been much longer). For tons of info, opinions and advice on St John, look at the US Virgin Islands Travel Forum at http://www.virgin-islands-on-line.com/f ... um.php?f=1 ... kind of like this board, but for St John fanatics.

I will for sure give a review and I have NO doubt it will be glowing!! I went back and made notes of all the bar/rest. ideas everyone gave...I don't think there will be enough time for my fav activity...doing nothing on a beautiful beach all day!!!
