I would almost kill to make this trip sometime. 2 things going against me. 1) The wife is not into Trop-Rock music. 2) My wife doesn't care much for big crowds.

Leave the spouse at home! :D

Someday I will!!!
She doesn't have a problem if I do Buffett concerts without her, and I do football roadtrips as well, but a trip to Key West...........that may be pushing it.
well there's got to be some give n take if she knows just how important it would mean to you..

I'm "actually" in the same boat but I'm fairly confident that once I am in the position to go I am going w/ or w/out her ;)

If you really want to feel like you are left out, go to these websites and watch our friends frolic frantically :

She's okay with give and take, but the coin I'd have to plop down for MOTM goes beyond give & take. She's allowed me to go to college football games around the country annually since 2000, sometimes driving, sometimes flying but I can usually fine a way to cut some huge financial corners.
There are no cutting costs when flying into Key West or renting a car from Miami/Lauderdale plus accomadations in Key West during this time. I suppose I'm choosing football over an event such as MOTM, but it's a little easier to negotiate going & watching a football game then going to KW & the debauchery that goes with it (well, maybe the Cocktail Party game rivaled it but she didn't know that).

The first year I was on BN a bunch of us did just that. It was kinda like a concert thread. We'd be posting "is that AF in the blue shirt?" I think that must be so and so over by the band.

I've never been to the keys....

Been to MOTM twice, pre "E"...... liked the music, not the crowds. But we're heading there at the end of November for a week, and we'll get to enjoy the place, music, and a lot less people. :)
