I saw the Stars and Promises show Saturday evening for the first time. I thought it was great (My wife and son were only lukewarm on it). The show was held in a church and half the people there seemed to have been friends and family of the band - Peter's mother was even there.
There were five other musicians with Peter (Jim to join him later in the tour) and they were all excellent. The music seemlessly moved from rock to Native American to Mid Eastern to jazz. The band played 3 traditional Christmas hymns and the rest were, I assume, songs written by Peter. The bands version of Little Drummer Boy (one of my favorites) was excellent.
There was a meet and greet afterwards and after about 20 minutes the place cleared out and there was around a dozen of us who stuck around and had a nice get together with the band. They recorded the show and sold the CD's afterward. I was able to get each of the band members to sign my copy and was also able to get Peter to sign my Goodbye Hello CD.
Overall it was an enjoyable evening and I look forward to seeing the show again next year.
So glad you enjoyed the concert. Thanks for sharing your experience.
All the things you just said is what I love about the concert. The non-traditional is awesome. To me this is an annual must do. Can hardly wait.

Love how they are making 25 live CDs of each Concert they play. Yes the line for that was way over 25. The everyone especially the parisheners were in total bliss during the concert, I sat in the front row and made it a point to turn around so I could take in the love and joy one everyone's face. Thank you PMG for another awesome holiday concert.
Looking forward to Lancaster...BTW there has been no mention of his Iron Man marathon schedule. Performing 5 consecutive days with some considerable distance between venues is crazy in my opinion, but Peter if you see this message, stay crazy, your talents and commitment are greatly appreciated.
Central PA weather now calling for a possible "wintry mix" on Sunday.........
Hopefully, Peter can return from his show in NH Saturday night safely and all BNers can make it to Lancaster on Sunday OK........
Funny, but each year that Peter visits our area is some of the coldest weather of the winter.......coincidence?????
Also, Radio Margaritaville has been announcing Peter's various S&P concerts dates along the way followed by a PM song. Nice idea, maybe people who haven't heard Peter's solo music can get a sample and consider attending S&P. If so, why do they continue to play "The Onion"???????
With all due respect Peter, this is the ONLY song on all of your albums that I simply cannot listen to. If I didn't know Peter's solo stuff and heard THAT, trust me, I doubt I'd attend any of his shows (and that would be my loss). Please RM, play anything but this.......

I was planning on coming up for the Lancaster show, but unfortunately I get to spend my Sunday working on POS GM vehicles instead. Should you need tickets, Linda has 2 that she got for me. Let us know if you want them.
