I was thinking it was February before we got the date last year.
My bank account needs a bit more time. It's been a hard year. :-?
Same here. Honestly don't know if we're gonna make it this year.
If there are 2 Texas shows, we will probably only make one....even if one is in our backyard :-?
So would that be the Frisco one? :D

Hey my fave PN--we did that last year remember, and drove from Little Rock. Was not bad at all, so if UR just coming from McKinney I think you guys can make it.....am working on some auction items already. Hope the date is May fri or sat after the alleged Houston gig. Happy belated New Year's to ya and Phins up baby

Area Hotels are confirming that Jimmy will be in Frisco on May 7. Of coarse they may be hearing that from all of us calling for reservations.

Well, Mac could do Houston on the 6th.. play AL on Friday and then Frisco on Sat. That is not to far of a stretch. I wish he would do a concert around Dallas or Frisco Fri. night!!
I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to see Mac in a small venue in Houston! :D
wMs. I'd even drive down to the Old Quarter if he'd play Galveston!
I think he played the Mucky Duck many many many years ago
Rodney Crowell is going to do three nights at the Mucky Duck pretty soon.
And I understand a matinee show had been added!!

On another note. Check out the schedule for Conroe/Crighton Theatre. June is Guy Clark and Ramblin Jack.

And, yes, Mac in Houston on Friday night would may be stay another night or on Wednesday would make me go early. :D :D

That would s***!!!!!! Great place to watch a football game but the prices they charge for everything is nuts, parking would be outrageous and the beer would be overpriced as well. Not that it is any better at PHP but I think it's a better option than Jerry World.

If Jimmy jumps to jerry world - I think I will have to travel to Houston - really didn't like changing from Starplex or whatever the name is now to pizza hut park - but at least we have that venue figured out now.

Cab over is called a Class C motorhome and they are probably the easiest rigs to drive because they are built on truck chassis. I look forward to the date announcement. We'll be driving our Class A and lining up wherever we're told. I'm planning a couple of auction items. I sent some things last year, but I haven't heard details. It was hinted that someone reneged on their silent auction bid. Too bad, those quilts take quite a bit of time.

Hoping to get the guy to just set it up for us, that would be so easy.

There was a big ticket item renege last year, but it wasn't a quilt. Hope it doesn't happen again. Everything did go for something though, so don't let it stop the donations. FYI, I'm hoping someone will step up to drive the auction this year. I am willing to help organize but I don't think I can run the whole thing again. It was a bit more than I expected. I ended up missing most of the show, went back to my room to sleep. At the least, I would recommend co-chairs or a committee of several to divide the workload during the day. ETP, you're a better woman than me....I don't know how you did it all. I won't even start on how Mr Play manages all this.

Do we know who may be coordinating the auction?

I have an idea and donation I'd like to contribute.

If I fly from Raleigh to Houston and do the Houston show and then ride with Janice up to Dallas and then fly from Dallas to Raleigh on Sunday, I can do it for $277 :D

PirateNurse: It takes sooo much to do the auction. The more people helping out, the merrier. I didn't breathe until I had turned the bank bags over to Mr. Play ... and then I was too tired to enjoy the show.

I'll get some things from The Wheel, etc. and autographed books ... I beg pretty good. [smilie=battingeyes.gif]

I'd love to help out more, but I just don't have the energy. My endurance is much better than it was this summer, but I'm not 100%.

I am too far away to chair or coordinate but I will do anything I can again this year on the auction. Just a thought--if someone knew the width of the south side of the pavilion where most of the auction tables were set up, I am sure I can come up with some sort of tarp--remember how windy it was last year? Like I said, just a thought.

waiting with baited boat drink breath for a firm date for Phrisco..... :D

The May 7th date at Jazz Fest worries me. He usually plays Houston on Thur and Frisco on that Sat ?? JB we need a Frisco date or we will have to look at backup sites for the Finhead Guys...
