You see the end coming from a mile away but a pretty good rom-com. Plenty of good looking ladies Jennifer Aniston, Nicole Kidman and Brooklyn Decker..... Nick Swardson is very funny in this also.
I wanna see that. Every time I go to Red Box it's out so it's got to be good.
It was good and goofy and made me laugh...a lot.
Most of all, Jake Shimabukuro is in it. I'll have to watch it again to see another glimpse of him. He was even in the credits for his song Angel and Every Breath You Take.

Saw this last night and thought it was pretty bad. The special effects and action sequences were in the pocket but some of the situations and dialogue just didn't fit. I realize it's hard to be realistic given the premise of the movie and a huge part of it is the suspension of disbelief but some scenes were laugh out loud bad and not in a good way.
I did not laugh out loud but I do have a couple of things that could have been better. A little less shaky camera and I'd like to have seen more of the enemy. I like the sense of unity for the Marines and how it was almost nonstop action. The aliens reminded me of the Chimera from the Resistance video games.
It is now my favorite alien invasion movie, dethroning Independence Day, which is not all realy that great anymore but there's not much competion out there, although War of the Worlds with Tom Cruise was pretty good imo.
I'm looking forward to Cowboys and Aliens and as much as it pains me to say this.....the new Transformers.
I never considered myself much of a sci-fi junkie but I guess I am.
Watched this one last night. I'd say I still like War of the Worlds better, but this was worth watching. I think Aaron Eckhart is a better actor than he gets credit. On the other hand I don't see what anyone sees in Michelle Rodriguez, just one of the worst actresses in my opinion.
It was cute enough, made me laugh and I love Vince Vaughn. He's great at those comedic moments that are uncomfortably funny. Plus, I'm pretty sure Jennifer Connelly is one of the most beautiful women that has ever lived. And I felt oddly nostalgic for GW crew watching all the bromance moments.

I loved this. Perhaps it was my love of Adam Sandler, perhaps it was the fact that I'd like to grow up and be Jennifer Aniston. It made me laugh out loud and the reason I didn't see it in the theater was because I didn't assume the ending was going to be the ending. I loved it for what it was...in fact, it's playing it again as I type.
Sometimes rom-coms are just what they are. They give people hope and make them chuckle.
p.s. I want the soundtrack.

How was it? It's on my list of things to get around to watching one day.

Ben is told he has Stage 4 cancer and takes off on a motorcycle trip to the west. For hockey fans, there is a pretty cool moment about 35 min into the film. It wasn't a critically great movie, but it was good, it made me think and I love Joshua Jackson.
Favorite lines...
"Honey when I make my move it generally involves a few wine coolers and a complete lack of subtly"
"I'm just searching for moments."
