"Irma la Douce"
A fun Billy Wilder Sunday afternoon movie. After multiple viewings in my lifetime, I think I'll retire this title. The movie goes on too long.

Enjoyed this but then again, I'm no expert on Lincoln or all of the conspiracy theories surrounding his assassination.

I just rented this morning and am about to watch it. After reading about this movie, I had no idea all of that went on. You know 4th grade; "Lincoln goes to play at the Ford theater and is shot by Booth." End of story.

Same here. It's definitely an educational experience but is never boring. At least it wasn't for me, even though a great deal of the movie takes place inside of a courtroom.

The Help!

It was a good movie; it made me laugh, it made me cry and it made me think.

A stand-out part of the movie was Sissy Spacek's role as the mother who was sent to the nursing home. There were lots of little touching moments about how GOOD some of the folks were to the "help."

Not a big fan of Arthur. I expected to get over Russell Brand's silliness.

I really enjoyed Soul Surfer. It was a bit stressful to watch for a bit, but the scenery, surfing footage, and the overall message is beautiful.

What an amazing girl Bethany Hamilton must be!!!

in the last few days:
Limitless (I liked it)
The Beaver (weird but watchable)
Black Hawk Down (my son loves war movies)
Take Me Home Tonight (not bad)
The Priest (loved it)
Arthur (suprisingly good)

A couple of recommendations made by one of the clerks at the local Blockbuster. I enjoyed them both but found the first one (Taken) to be more than just a little predictable. Law Abiding Citizen called for the total suspension of disbelief a number of times and was a bit more graphic than expected. If revenge flicks are your cup of tea both of these movies should be right up your alley.

Just a heads up if you're thinking of renting either of these, don't waste your time or your money.
