We got GA tickets! What a way to return to the good old USA after our cruise! Now we need to plan accommodations.

Sorry we can't make it Saturday. We're arriving Sunday morning and out Monday morning. M'ville NOLA is a straight shot past the Riverside Shopping and Hilton, so we plan to head there after the show if we are still functional after the open bar.clearlakeparrot wrote:How about before? No no haha what I meant is how about M'ville between 3 and 6. I have to watch the Saints game. I have to get back to Houston pretty early the next day to have drinks with Dutch Harbour hahacatsway wrote:Sorry we can't make it Saturday. We're arriving Sunday morning and out Monday morning. We are thinking of hitting M'ville after the show. You never know who might show up there after the event. The trolley pick-up is two blocks down between the conference center and Riverside.clearlakeparrot wrote:No no haha what I meant is how about M'ville between 3 and 6. I have to watch the Saints game. Seven days left! We are looking forward to this event. Especially excited about the mix and mingle with the artists. It may be the one chance to actually have a conversation with Jimmy and friends. The tickets say absolutely no video, photography, etc. Wonder what we'll do with our IPhone?

Nice Hotel. Right on the trolley route to Canal Street and the Quarter.clearlakeparrot wrote:I jsut booked the Parc St Charles.
We spoke with a friend who has played the Generations Hall. He says its is a first class venue. We are a little surprised that there isn't more chatter in BN nation about this show. For the price of admission you get a nice catered buffet, open bar, the opportunity to mix and mingle with the performers and celebs plus the show by all these great artists. It is mentioned that a lifetime achievement award is to be awarded during the event. We were wondering who that might be..?
Also we were wondering if this is Jimmy's way to give back to Mr. Toussaint since he performed with the Coral Reefers at the Benefit for the Gulf Coast concert in July.

Dr John or Irma Thomas maybe. Jimmy and Allen are frinedd so most likely. I am surprised there are only 3 of us going. I think the venue is perfect. Hell of a lin upcatsway wrote:Nice Hotel.
