That's excellent news for you guys, because Billy D doesn't know how to beat Pearl. I believe he's 1-9 against him if my memory serves me right. Ouch!Thewino wrote:We've play at Tennessee on Jan. 11th but Pearl won't be there becasue he doesn't know how to tell the truth.
i was sorta surprised at there ranking....yes they knocked off 2 high ranked teams....but they are young....unless Kemba is going to drop 30 every night....i think it could be a tough go this year...but it does bring some excitement for the season so farpopcornjack wrote:unranked UCONN (with a coach who can coach conference games) knocked of a #11 and a #2 to win Maui. What did Tennessee do?
How about after knocking off #7 Villanova for the NIT Tip-Off Championship in Madison Square Garden, we took a little trip to Pittsburg and dominated #3 Pitt who led for only the first offensive possesion of the game. Does that answer your question, Jack?popcornjack wrote:What did Tennessee do?

HOW 'BOUT 'DEM BALLERVOLS!!!
My bad, Jack. I looked at it wrong. Should have known my old buddy Ken would be ribbing meDr.Corona wrote:Check back with us in March B.R.........when IT COUNTS!!!
Your bad B.R., I was the one smacking your Vols, Not Jack.Bob Roberts wrote:Not to talk smack Jack, but I was sitting in St. Louis last year watching my Vols play in the Elite 8 while UConn was losing the 2nd round of the NIT Tournament. The great thing is we don't have to wait until March. We'll be heading up to the XL Center on January 22nd! See you then!Dr.Corona wrote:Check back with us in March B.R.........when IT COUNTS!!!

Dangit, Ken! Oakland is a good team and Tennessee did not play well at all. The Benson kid is the real deal and he frustrated many of our players. I got the opportunity to sit about 3 feet behind the Vols bench and to hear the interaction going on was quite interesting to say the least. Bottom line was Scotty Hopson forgot to show up and it hurt the whole team. Good win, Ken. We'll get 'em next time!Dr.Corona wrote:Oops! Way to go Golden Grizzlies!
Oakland University from Rochester Michigan upsets Tennessee 89-82 Tuesday night.
I know they're up & coming..& they've been in the tourney (and played well) on more than 1 occasion. On paper they should SPANK my Wolverines. Here's hoping we somehow sneak out a win to help OUR RPI!Bob Roberts wrote:Dangit, Ken! Oakland is a good team and Tennessee did not play well at all. Actually that's the Kansas State Wildcats.Thewino wrote:Yeah, Johnson, Kentucky is tough to beat at home. That is why they have that impressive 23 game home win streak.
There is a big game tonight. Florida plays Alabama at 7pm and the winner will clinch at least a share of the conference title.
