Thanks Connie, I'll do that. I don't really need it but it sure would be fun. Heck, I don't even text, there is so much on an EVO that I wouldn't use that it might be a waste of $$

Yeah, but I have almost 2 more years on my contract with Sprint, been with them for 10 years and never had a problem.

You might be right. I thought I may feel the same way myself. I do text now more than I ever did before.

shouldn't your signature read "Dyslexics of the world, unTIE!" (?)

Or is this an ironic *double twist* on the joke? If so, veeeeeery clever indeed.
You are correct sir. My bad. Guess it's the 27+ years of working for Verizon in me that gives me such a bias.
I do know that AT&T eliminated their unlimited data plan this past summer.

Some of my fav apps are: Lookout, it tracks your phone, gives you antivirus protection, and if you lose your phone, or it's stolen, it can be found through the website. Google Sky Maps is the best. Camera Magic, it gives you a zoom (my camera doesn't have a zoom). Silent Sleep, allows your phone to not make any email notifications (noise) for the hours you are sleeping... you set the time. I have a 1st edition Google G1 phone through T-Mobile and I'll update it at some point. Bic lighter is fun at a concert.......

I have a very low tech app for that. It's called the power switch. I turn my phone off when I go to bed.

On the EVO you can put select people on "send to voicemail" and your phone won't ring. My son admitted he does it to me every now and then. I think it's for those opportune moments when a guy really doesn't want his mom to disturb him.

I'm trying out TuneIn Radio, which is what is sounds like.
Network Monitor - it monitors the traffic over your phone. Handy if you want to make sure you aren't using too much bandwidth so you don'y get a potentially unexprected bill at the end of the month.

I too have the X, and love it. Just hate how the battery drains so fast. Hopefully the Universal portable charger I bought helps a bit now.

Advanced Task killer is a must!! It's amazing how much it helps when I don't play a lot of games or stream music.

And between now and Jan 31, smartphones talk free on a Verizon Wireless family plan. If you add a secondary line with a smartphone (Droid, B'berry, etc) and the unlimited data package on it to a family plan, or upgrade an existing line to a smartphone with the unlimited data package, the monthly access charge on the secondary line ($9.99) will be waived for the term of the two-year contract.
(psst - SP - just finished my third week as a CSR w/Verizon Wireless. We'll have to swap war stories sometime....)

I'm pretty simple - I'm liking the Star Wars Lightsaber that makes the cool lightsaber sound. I'm waiting for an opportunity to pull that out in a budget meeting (we're slashing that expense) or maybe with the kids (I'm am your father (in my best Darth Vader voice))

Has anyone tried GasBuddy? Shows the price of gas near your location. Just checked and the Shell on the corner has Regular for $3.39 the Costco on my way home is $3.18. Pretty cool app.

Only thing about Metra is--- how often do you jump from line to line?
