I know this is probably heresy, but I have always thought that "Frenchman" was a much more appropriate song for Paris, then "He went to Paris." (And, much as I like Nadirah, I would still prefer to hear Jimmy sing this song.)

Debbie, it was so good to see him. I know that he made the decision to go quite late but him being there was a pleasant surprise x

What a Time! We got to meet a lot of new friends, Roxanne, John & Sue, Mike, Marcus and Steve and their wives and many others that I don't remember their names. We absolutely LOVED the venue. We will see some of you again in Vegas on the 22nd.

We also ran into Mac at the airport Wednesday morning :D

Yeah just my luck. 2500 people, all with at least one photo device and I am one of the 20 or so to get snagged.

FWIW I kept hearing that others had problems as well with the same security girl. I heard a number of ladies commenting on her very aggressive and overly thorough pat downs. Luc was in the other line, tickets in hand, and he said they didn't look in his backpack, just had him unzip it. And only a cursory pat.

I also wasn't happy that I couldn't get my will call tickets until the doors opened.

Note to Jimmy, L'Olympia was not very Parrothead friendly this year. Can we go back to La Cigale?

The security was random. I walked in with a backpack(no search) and the wife was not patted down and had her camera in plain view. Will not return to Olympia if there next year.

Camera was not obvious. It was in a case, below a bag with tailgate leftovers. She rooted down and pulled out the case and asked what it was. I wasn't smart enough to lie quickly. Prior years it was not a problem. Oh well.

Guess we'll be back no matter. Paris is as close as he gets to us. We will be in the states the end of May, so maybe we can catch a show there.

I liked La Cigale better too. I had a problem with security as well. Not good when you stand in line from 10:30 am and some people are held back by security (like me!!) and others can go on in. Luckily those that were in line with me gave me a break and I was able to get up front. The security people I encountered pulled me aside and went through everything I had...and then some! Not a problem if they do that for everyone, but it appeared to be random.

That kind of security check would have made me a little upset too.
