That is a good price. I see a lot of sales but you never know if it will be from your city on the dates you need. We are paying about $1200 PP the same as last year.

It's in the ball park. I'd sit tight & watch for sales. It's so far out there's bound to be something. Sign up for the kayak alert & for the Sherman's travel newsletter.
How long are you staying? Coming to Oktoberfest with us?

Pre post plans for us are as follows:
Wine & cheese in the Tullierres again. Beautiful view of Eiffel Tower, et al. More like our tailgates back home in the parking lot. Why go to Paris and sit in an American /Irish chain? You can do that at home.
After show, there is a cafe across the street from L'Olympia on the corner called American Dreams. Kitchen open late, music, reasonable (for Paris) priced drinks. Monday could be a problem with any place. I'll check it out next time in Paris, probably in June/July.

If we keep this thread up til September we'll have 89 pages of it (or more) ...
Looks like that New Years comedy on TV "Same people as every year" - looking forward to seeing you all again. We'll be bringing the Tequila again.
So yup, got tickets too (floor, what else?)
Why don't we do the pre- and after-show party in the Hard Rock? The pre-show party there was great fun, especially with them playing the Anguilla video for us.
For hotel bookings I can recommend
http://www.hrs.com the customer votings are very reliable. Unfortunately our hotel got 20€ more expensive from last year, I will wait until we know where the parties will be and consider staying in that area.

Not anything to do with Paris at all but JB announced his dates for Tampa and WPB. I was in a previous life a boca baby, so these announced make me remember when. But I will stick with Paris, being with my 1500 friends.

So.... Wifey-poo started looking at hotels, Apartments etc, for the Paris stay and we got to talking about pre and post Parties. As it is a Monday night, I doubt that the usual loud dance clubs will be as loud or as crowded..... On the other hand, it would probably be very easy to convince a bar/cafe owner to keep the sidewalk tables open for a crowd of Parrotheads after the show. This is more or less what we ended up doing this last year....we had gotten down to O'Sullivan's to hear the music erupting out of the bar and saw the people spilling out onto the sidewalk and we just turned around, went across the street and hung out at the sidewalk cafe. It was quite nice as we saw several others who had the same idea and wound up talking and eating till the wee hours....
Anyway, just a thought.......

We also went to a great cafe - just along the street from Olympia. Same side of the road. Great omlette - all that having fun makes you hungry.......
Do you remember the name of the place you went to?
Love to you both xx

Cheryl and Luc's tickets arrived today from Olympia. I love the purple colour and wish we had gotten ours from them instead of GDP tickets to Jimmy in Paris of any kind are good.
I am now waiting for Sat. morning to see if I can get "good" seats for Tampa. If I do, I will take my keet to both Tampa and WPB. Then in 5 months from those dates, Paris.
Makes me wonder when Vegas will announce. Steve pointed out that Jimmy is 65 and there will be a time that he does want to relax.

So I best make sure our Keets see him before that time.

Hmmm.... I don't remember the name, but it was one or 2 cafes down from the Hard Rock closer towards L'Olympia.... There are so many choices when you start looking at cafes!!!!

Google earth is great to go into the street level pictures and re-visit the streets of Paris!!! Also a good way to find the cafes and bars....

Whoo Hooo! I am planning in Tampa too! Then Frisco in May....Paris in September. We will have to meet in Tampa. I may just tailgate here at the Lube (VA) if Bubba does the Labor Day Weekend show. I would miss Vegas after all these years of goin out there, but, wow being a groupie on a teacher's salary is kind of rough.

The after show may prove easier this year as Monday night will be much quieter in Paris and as such, whatever venue we choose we should be able to "take over" quite simply. In fact, the shoe might be on the other foot this year and it could be US who are too boisterous for the Monday night locals!

I have just booked my hotel for the trip. I am staying at the Queen Mary which is handy for the venue and just across the road from a quiet bar.I stayed there last year and it was fine.Im arriving on Saturday and returning on the Tuesday.
Roll on September!
