When asked last night at a NYE party the best of 2010...while the video was rolling...I unashamedly replied "being at the Gulf Shores show with 35,000 people on the beach with Jimmy Buffett!" Just awesome!!

Heidi Nicholas and Myself were upgraded from the lawn to the 18th row on Thursday night at GW!!!!!!! Sat. Night??? Well that's another story for another post.

Number Three Best Buffett Moment: Professor Utley attends his first Buffett show and tailgate party!
Number Two Best Buffett Moment: Running into Jimmy at M'ville NOLA before the Allen Toussaint Benefit in December.
Number One Best Buffett Moment: The Gulf Coast Concert including three days of partying at Lulu's, hanging with so many BN'ers at the Florabama the night before, breakfast at Hazel's and of course the show on the beach with a cast of 35,000....wow what a year.

So many wonderful moments this past year, especially spending time with good friends!!

The best for me was getting to see Jimmy on the beach in my home state at the Gulf Coast Concert!!! Wonderful time with great friends!!!

For me, it was the Gulf Shores show. I was not there, but being at home listening to that show was awesome, and when he did The Coast Is Clear, that was the best. I still cry when I hear the new lyrics. Also listening to his surprise appearance at LuLu's on RM while wearing a cardiac Holter monitor was such a surprise and so fun. My doctor did tell me that there was a 2-hour period of time when my heart rate raced a bit, hmmmmm!

Another moment is the CMT Cross Roads show with the ZBB. A great night for parrotheads and ZBB fans indeed. Another moment for me was the BN Sunday brunch in Las Vegas. My big regret about Las Vegas is that I did not have the chance to hook up with more BNers. The brunch was great, and I really wish that I could have stayed longer.

I'm looking forward to 2011 when in 2 months I will go to Stars Fell on Alabama.

Yeah, that's right up there for me too!
My other top moment was getting a primo ticket to the Saturday GW show from Jen (SGH), and having Nadirah wave to me from the stage as she sang "Creola" and again as she left the stage after the show.

For me it was a stellar year to be a parrothead!!

Getting to see our hometown guys ZBB and Buffett team up was fantastic!

A big group of us went together to the chilly Atlanta show and had the best day I've ever had tailigating -- I even made the jumbotron -- a first! Then Zac showed up and sang ... heaven!

But nothing compares with Gulf Shores. I've been playing this parrothead game since 1977 and that was my first time to see Jimmy on a beach, his beach, and to be front row and actually get some eye contact, an exchange or two with "the man" it was priceless!! I for one am praying that Gulf Shores becomes an annual benefit.

Wow ! What was NOT to like about the 2010 tour?!?!?!?!?

It was another year with Jimmy and the band!!!

For me.....Hmmmm.....
- Getting tickets to the Paris show
- Getting tickets to the Las Vegas show
- Finding out that the paris seats were right next to Roxanne and Margaret

- Jimmy sampling some Grog at the end of the Paris show......

- Getting upgraded to a Suite at the flamingo for the Las Vegas show....... and Having a little Grog sampling party

- Showing up in Houston to visit an academy buddy and finding out that he had tickets for the AMericvan Express show for us.....

Wow....it was a great, charmed year!!!!!!!!

Here's to another in 2011!!!!!!!! Hope to see ya'll out there!!!!!!

Laughing at a scalper who wanted full price for a Jones Beach ticket 5 minutes before showtime. Paying another Jones Beach scalper $20 for a $96 ticket just after Ilo hit the stage for his opening set.

Without a doubt.....Gulf Shores Concert!!!
All the stress and anxiety of getting, losing and getting tickets again were well worth it!
Road trip with the hubby, going to LuLu's, almost having a coronary running thru the deep sand to get as close to the front of the stage as possible.....wow, I'm still smiling from it

#2 would have to be Jimmy coming to Texas for 2 shows allowing me to take my 5 yr old grandson Jarrett Blaine (JB) to his first JB concert at the Woodlands, and still get to go to Frisco with the grown kids and party in a more adult way!!

2010 was GREAT!!

I still get chills when I watch the replay and look at the crowd at the Gulf Coast concert.......the same way I did on that hot sunny afternoon on the beach. I have never sweated more in my life than that day. Or had a better time at a concert. And it had to be one of the best road trips I've ever taken. At that moment, I truly felt like I was a small part of Buffett legend forever.
