I didn't have the VIP band (I had a Media pass it was as good as a ticket, but that was all, nothing special) and I didn't rush the stage but I spent a good bit of time up in front of the stage.
Would I go again?
In a heartbeat. The whole idea was to be at a Jimmy show. Not to be a special somebody at a Jimmy show but just to be there.

I wouldn't camp out either waiting for the gates to open, but ...I would be happy to just be in Gulf Shores (love Gulf Shores!), on the beach, somewhere that I could at least hear the concert, enjoy my beer and dance my fool ass off. And that...is just me. 8)
Well said, KK! I feel the same way. It was a very special show I will never forget. My thanks to MotherHen too!! :D :D :D

Haven't you had a lawn "seat" at one of his shows?? Seems to me that a concert on the beach, no matter where I was "sitting", would be the ultimate JB concert! Sure a lot better venue than a cow pasture turned ampitheater. Think about it, 30,000 fans at the biggest beach party ever, drinking cold refreshments, the sand and salt air on your skin. It's Beach Blanket Bingo to the extreme.
Salt air it ain't thin,
it can stick right to your skin,
makes you feel fine,
makes you feel fine!!

Wish I had run into this "Mother Hen" person. My trip was exciting, but unfortunately did not end up at The Hangout. Long story, but ended up catching the show on CMT, 650 miles away. Looked like one hell of a time!!

If anyone has a DVD copy of the show, I'd love to get a copy.

Indeed it was.
Except it was 40,000 (the extra 10 thousand "phriends" only made it a lil more special)

Do you suppose that his "people" read these discussion boards, or are we just banging our heads against a wall? Only to watch us do it, then announce dates for some and torture for others? Just asking.

Aaaarrrggghhhh! Bang, bang, bang. Announce more shows please.

Dancing with my feet in the water (or in the sand is good enough)? I could do that again. 8)

Ah well...
My tickets for the Paris show sitting on the shelf put aside...

Sitting here, watching the CMT HD recording of last years gulf coast show I downloaded (no guilty feeligs here, no more CMT Europe makes you do these kinda things, and downloading being legal in Switzerland) I just decided that IF there will be a Gulf Coast show this year AND I'll have some credit left on my card by the time tickets go on sale I WILL try and get a ticket for me. Just for me, SO does understand but doesn't want to join me...
I just found out that flights from Europe to Florida aren't that expensive!

If not, see you in Paris or Key West!

Jimmy in Key West, MOTM 2011. Unforgettable! And let's not talk about MOTM 2015
