You know the guy that owns the Hangout actually owns the stage that Jimmy Played on. They managed to sell over a million dollars worth of Landshark that day. Also figure in the money that Lulu made that week and the increase in bookings @ Margaritaville Hotel in P'cola....
I imagine his friends and partners in that part of the world are trying to gently twist his arm to come back again.
My question for you is would Jimmy coming to GS change your summer plans? And how early would the announcement need to be made for you to make plans to come on down?

Things really feel into place for me last year; although in the end I had to miss the show. I still kick myself for it!! Of course I'd like to know as soon as possible, but I will not miss a show there this year.

I go to Ft Morgan every year anyway so it would just be a matter of setting my week there.

wildH20skier, are you staying on top of this? I already have 1 trip planned for the Gulf coast, and I'm waiting for the announcement of another Gulf Shores concert, so I can make plans for another trip to the coast! Give us the good word.

We would love one also.. I think we are renting a house for a week or two this summer down there for vacation...

I doubt if I'd go back. I can't count on getting another VIP pass, and I wouldn't expect one either, I wouldn't camp out in the hot sun waiting for the gates to open so I could be up front and with 35,000+ people there I wouldn't want to be all the way in the back and have to watch the concert on the big screen in order to see it. I was at the first one, I really don't need a second one. But that's just me.

Nothing to add at this time. But when I sat down and thought it out I foresee this (if it happens at all) as being another mid summer stop during his usual July/August break. A source in New Orleans has passed word that Margaritaville has plans to hire some extras/part timers for the Jazz Fest this year.
I wonder why they would be expecting a larger than average turnout???

I doubt that any of us who were very fortunate, and grateful, to get a VIP pass would expect another. It was a very special surprise and treat (thank you again, MotherHen). I wouldn't camp out either waiting for the gates to open, but ...I would be happy to just be in Gulf Shores (love Gulf Shores!), on the beach, somewhere that I could at least hear the concert, enjoy my beer and dance my fool ass off. And that...is just me.
