I would just be happy if the pitchers would give up less homers.

Very few people can match me at 8AM. You are in an elite club and deserve the highest praise possible. Get that sexy as$ out of the kitchen and join me for some baseball talk . . . can't think of much else I would rather be doing.SchoolGirlHeart wrote:HEY..... AHEM...... Re: 2011 Major League Baseball
In the past Yankee and Red Sox fans made Oriole Park at Camden Yards there "home away from home".........it's not that far away and it's tough getting tickets in NY and Boston. Kind of depressing for an O's fan, but choice seats may be a bit harder to come by in 2011 if the Birds become competitive in the AL East again.tigzoe wrote:I would be up for either. Last I checked, not much available right now except SRO as far as seeing the game at Fenway.SchoolGirlHeart wrote:Y'know, all of us Red Sox fans need to go to a game together. Or at least congregate at a sports bar and watch a few games!
Since Buck Showalter took over a manager late in 2010, the O's have the best record in the AL East! And I always said that the manager alone couldn't make a huge difference.......I was wrong.

I do love Camden Yards! Had a blast at the game. Went back to the hotel, only to have an officer chasing someone into the woman's bathroom. I am guessing we weren't staying in the best part of town.Bfan53again wrote:In the past Yankee and Red Sox fans made Oriole Park at Camden Yards there "home away from home".........it's not that far away and it's tough getting tickets in NY and Boston. 2011 juiced balls? Did you get one of those Colorado humidors and maybe didn't read the instructions? The damp heavy balls are for when the VISITING team is battingtigzoe wrote:I would just be happy if the pitchers would give up less homers.

Every team Showalter has managed got better but he's such an anal retentive control freak that his act wears thin real fast and he doesn't last long. If you remember when the Yankees fired him and hired the sainted Joe Torre, a manager who had never won anything, Torre started winning World Series. But it was with the team Showalter and Gene Michael put together.Bfan53again wrote:In the past Yankee and Red Sox fans made Oriole Park at Camden Yards there "home away from home".........it's not that far away and it's tough getting tickets in NY and Boston. After 13 straight losing seasons in Baltimore, I can live with Buck's shortcomings for a while........LIPH wrote:Every team Showalter has managed got better but he's such an anal retentive control freak that his act wears thin real fast and he doesn't last long. Heard this AM that no team in the history of baseball with an 0-4 start ever won a world series. Had no idea the BO SOX were having such problems getting going out the gate.MacPhin wrote:Somebody throw the Sox a life preserver before I lose it......ugh!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: 2011 Major League Baseball
Juiced baseballs are a tightly wound myth
http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/news?slug=j ... yth_040611
It doesn’t deter the paranoia. Last fall, in the middle of a pennant race, San Francisco Giants starter Tim Lincecum(notes) caught a ball from an umpire and started to fiddle with it. He spun it in his right hand a few times before tossing it back to the ump. A TV camera caught him mouthing a reaction with a perplexed look on his face: “Truckin’ juiced ball bullspit.” Or something like that.
Lincecum beat the Rockies that night, prompting shortstop Troy Tulowitzki(notes) to tell him: “Good game. We couldn’t even get you with our juiced balls.”

That's okay, I don't think anyone ever came back after being down 3-0 to the Yankees in the ALCS before 2004.
