Yes.
Been a Phillies fan all my life, and it just kind of feels like they can't do anything wrong right now. Offense has been pretty lethargic most of the year, but they always seem to score just enough to win. Halladay, Lee, Hamels, and now Worley compete amongst themselves to outdo the other guys. Hamels just missed a shutout (solo HR with 2 out in the 9th) and was upset with himself because Lee thru a shutout. :)
Anyone else notice how dominant my Milwaukee Brewers look right now?

I gotta say I didn't see that coming. Huge lead over the Cards.

The Orioles take 3 of 4 from the Sox at Fenway.........just might be the sign of the Second Coming! :o

Red Sox hold a 1 game lead on Tampa Bay with 3 games to play for the AL Wildcard.

Boston is at Baltimore while the Rays are at New York. Even though the Sox haven't played well recently (that's putting as kindly as I can....) I like their chances against the Orioles over TB's chances with the Yanks.

Should be interesting...... :o

I'm a lifelong Orioles fan....these past 14 years have been painful! I've tried to switch teams, but just can't....it's a sickness.

I still think the Sox will pull it out. How they do in the playoffs is anyone's guess..... :o

Sorry Ed. I just looked at the standings. With the pitching the way it is, I don't think it is going to be that easy with your O's.

Kinda funny....Yanks in an off-hand way COULD control the BoSox playoff fate.....can you say tank-job??

I've been saying that for a couple of weeks...I'm a Sox fan, but what better way to screw your arch-nemesis than to bring in the minor leaguers while you "set up your playoff starting rotation", and let a couple of everyday players rest nagging injuries??
I know if I were in the Yank's position I'd be doing it......plus, the way the Sox have played, they deserve it. No team that plays .250 ball in the month of September deserves to make the post-season.

i think it was the 2000 Yankees who lost something like 18 of there last 20, or 16 of there last 20, and went on to win the World Series.....can the Sox do that....only if, they score a ton of runs.....pitching won't carry them....I think Detroit is the team to beat

I'd love to see the Red Sox hold on. If the pitching can just get back to okay instead of brutal we'll be fine. I do fear the Yanks will roll over and let the Rays jump in the playoffs over us though. I'll stick to my early season prediction at this point though. Red Sox vs. Brewers, Red Sox in 6. I'm such a homer... :-?

I told my wife last night while watching the game: "Who are these guys in black & orange?"

Too little, too late for the O's, but the Sox must be really wondering how this mess all came about for them....... :o

The earth appears to be self-correcting as
both the Patriots lose and the Red Sox
are returning to their *loveable losers* status.

Remember how cute Sox fans use to always be ....
year-in, year-out with their "wait 'til next year",
"curse of the Bambino" ways?

I miss those Sox fans. They were adorable and predictable.
World Series Winning Red Sox fans are almost (almost)
as obnoxious as Yankees fans. Seriously. Whoda thunk it?

One regular season game left: Boston & Tampa Bay remain tied for the AL Wildcard.

Should be an interesting evening of baseball! :pirate:
