I guess I'll be the first to say it (although I in no way mean it)-

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE 2011 WORLD CHAMPION ST. LOUIS CARDINALS.

No, no. The Cardinals will win because I want them them to lose.
Which is okay. When my teams lose, I usually just stew about it for 10 minutes, then move on.
And it's actually easy to accept when guys like Albert Pujols (THE best player in the game) and Lance Berkman (THE most under-rated player in the game) beat you. You just tip your cap to them, and hope to beat them next time.

But WHO under God's Heaven has ever heard of guys like Allen Craig and David Froze/David Freeze, whatever his name is.

JEEZ, FRIGGIN' LOUISE!

I hear that! In my 30 years on this planet I've gotten so used to losing, 10 minutes usually gets me over it.

It's a hell of a way to have to live, but that's one of the "joys" of being me.
THANKFULLY, I do have other things in my life which go above and beyond making me happy.

(Because if SPORTS was my only source of joy, I would've assumed room temperature EONS ago).

I used to 'hate' the Cardinals, as I'm a Cubs fan. But I'm still a National League gal, and it's E's team. So I'm very happy tonight. :D

I'm happy for the World Series M.V.P. David Froze (even though I've never heard of him), and how NICE it is they presented him with a 2012 Corvette (a.k.a. the PIMP-mobile), but surely he can afford 20 of the damn things, right?

CONGRATULATIONS, DAVID FROZE.

I think Freese was pretty darn impressive with his performance. :)

He's no Mario Mendoza, but he was okay.

The cool thing is that he grew up in St. Louis County and attended St. Louis Community College. He grew up wanting to be a Cardinal and now he are one!

After being glued to the TV set Thursday night until late and being "disappointed," I decided that my Friday would be different. It wasn't like the Tigers were still playing. We went out to dinner and when we came home I got into the bubble tub with a book. Hubby let me know when the inevitable happened.

Congrats to the Cards. I had hoped the Texas guys would win since they hadn't had the pleasure before. It was certainly not to be and I'm over it.

Knowing that it was Penny & E's team that won makes it better. :D

Watched Game 7 with a buddy last night.

We both agreed it was a very entertaining World Series, but wonder now if the Rangers will become known as the Minnesota Vikings of MLB???? Making it to the Championship, but never winning it.....too bad, because even though I don't follow Texas, I respect the team, its management, coaching staff, and fans.

On the other hand I have to congratulate St. Louis on its fantastic run to make the playoffs (they were 10 games out in August) and never giving up, taking advantage of every break the other teams gave them to win it all.

CONGA-RATS TO MY CARDS !!!!

Oh man what a great last two games !!! To come from behind and win the whole enchilada .....
oh, on that note: I think Molina (I call him my little chupacabre) is also underrated, seriously.
I think they kept the squirrel and put him in a little room up in the boxes, just for good luck. 8)

And thanks to the Texas team for giving us such an exciting World Series, they played hard !!

While I reallllllllly didn't want the Cardinals to win, gotta congratulate them. If only the Phillies handn't swept Atlanta to end the season, St. Louis would have not even made the playoff

Tony LaRussa retired. I wonder if this means Albert Pujols is gone, LaRussa's he only manager he ever played for.
