Actually...no. I am a Northern Illinoisan who LOVES Alpine Valley. I am tired of the scare tactic to force me to try to go to the Chicago venues. Just another Cowboy in the Jungle.

You've gotta give Finnsaremorefun a little slack. You might be bitter too if you were a fan of the Detroit Lions and stuck living in the upper reaches of the U.P. [smilie=giggle.gif]

Yeah..they did, I saw DMB that year there. The only reason he didn't play Alpine was the Wrigley shows

Maybe Miller Park is trying to step in to take JB away from Alpine ? Would sure be fun, but that concrete in the tailgating lot could be dangerous...

Mr. Landshark in MILLER Park? Doubt it. Would love it though, if it were the case

It's already a 7 hour drive for us - don't wish it to be any longer, please!

Jimmy used to play Summerfest on Milwaukee's lakefront — maybe he's planning on returning to his roots and going to show up there?
(Just thought I'd toss this in to further muddy the waters....)

I'm wondering if he's going to skip AV (or any Wisconsin venue) because of that BS with the Government?
I'd probably want to plan a weekend in Geneva for the Hemingway's anniversary though... anyone with me?

I hope he does not play summerfest instead of alpine. Both would be cool but I like tailgating.

Camping at Alpine Valley?? Can you bring your camper to the Venue and get in a day early??? Just wondering, it is a 500 mile road trip, not a big deal. Would love to take the RV up there..

No. They will not open the parking lots earlier than they have to...and years past, they'll say noon, but since the cars back up on the highway so bad, they have to open the parking lot early.

Thanks to the phlock member who has been posting about the camping at Alpine, appears it is the hold up on dates being confirmed due to "conditions and requirements" for the camping tied into the music license permit. Was approved last Monday BUT "conditionals" waiting for approval.
No, I think this is what you're referring to, Joe.

Campground rules include no barefoot walking, no campfires, lights out at 2 a.m., no charcoal grilling, no vending or fireworks, no pets and no glass bottles or kegs.
Not sure how that could be considered camping .......
and this and another from Gumbo Gal.....
