Whoa! I'm not a football fan, but you watch what you say about the U.P..Geneva Beach Bum wrote:You've gotta give Finnsaremorefun a little slack. You might be bitter too if you were a fan of the Detroit Lions and stuck living in the upper reaches of the U.P.

Actually...no. I am a Northern Illinoisan who LOVES Alpine Valley. I am tired of the scare tactic to force me to try to go to the Chicago venues.

Maybe Miller Park is trying to step in to take JB away from Alpine ? Would sure be fun, but that concrete in the tailgating lot could be dangerous...
It's already a 7 hour drive for us - don't wish it to be any longer, please!Chattyb wrote:MrRED14 wrote:"Yeah..they did, I saw DMB that year there. The only reason he didn't play Alpine was the Wrigley shows"

Mr. Landshark in MILLER Park? Doubt it. Would love it though, if it were the case

No. They will not open the parking lots earlier than they have to...and years past, they'll say noon, but since the cars back up on the highway so bad, they have to open the parking lot early.Joetown Parrothead wrote:Camping at Alpine Valley?? Can you bring your camper to the Venue and get in a day early??? Just wondering, it is a 500 mile road trip, not a big deal. Would love to take the RV up there..
Ok, I thought they let you set up camp there.. Must of been another Venue.pojo wrote:No. They will not open the parking lots earlier than they have to...and years past, they'll say noon, but since the cars back up on the highway so bad, they have to open the parking lot early.Joetown Parrothead wrote:Camping at Alpine Valley?? No, I think this is what you're referring to, Joe.southofdisorder07 wrote:Just checked in, appears that hold up in on Alpine side, should have something soon. Fingers crossed. Thanks to the phlock member who has been posting about the camping at Alpine, appears it is the hold up on dates being confirmed due to "conditions and requirements" for the camping tied into the music license permit. Was approved last Monday BUT "conditionals" waiting for approval.

Not sure how that could be considered camping .......Campground rules include no barefoot walking, no campfires, lights out at 2 a.m., no charcoal grilling, no vending or fireworks, no pets and no glass bottles or kegs.
