Lets hope the scalpers are tired of losing money and will actually give fans a fighting chance of getting tickets.Skibo wrote:Jimmy's ticket sales have been weak the past 2 years. If you had you had your heart set on those specific seats then it truly is sad that you didn't have an opportunity to get them. If you are not too mad and decide to purchase other seats, I hope you enjoy the show.

It is not you or I they make money off of, it is the person who dont know any better or the person who really dont care and can afford whatever. I mean look at the BCS game last Monday. Some idiot Auburn fan sold his trailer and pick-up for a ticket. hahatigzoe wrote:Lets hope the scalpers are tired of losing money and will actually give fans a fighting chance of getting tickets.Skibo wrote:Jimmy's ticket sales have been weak the past 2 years. I try to get tickets when they first come out, if not, I wait.......and constantly check the site selling the seats. Alway, always, good seats (much better than the ones I usually get the first day) will become available.
Patience and persistence will get you your tickets........![]()
P. S. As soon as JB announces a concert date at a favored location I reserve our motel room, too. If you wait, the rooms get booked and/or the price goes up....usually way up
For sure, no dice this morning at 10, but its all good, got my hotel (Intercontinental Tampa will take 70 per night on priceline,) go westshore district, 4 * and toss 70 bucks , they will bite, and its nice too, stayed there for the Outback Bowl.
So now starts the ticket cat / mouse game.... and waiting to see how long the ticket brokers who say they will never negotiate on the cost of a seat.. Because last year in Pittsburgh, it was 11 am, and the guy holding my 2nd row seat was holding out at 400 dollars, then at 1:30 he came all the way down to $128 dollars.. Luckily Pittsburgh is only 2 hrs from me.

i got front row for GW last year(Thursday show) and 4th row center for the Sat show...pulled tickets the day before ................in the Past i have pulled 2nd row twice for Gillette.......of 61 shows i've been to....i think i've bought tickets in advance for a handful!!!!clearlakeparrot wrote:I got 3rd row in Tampa from Ticketmaster the Weds before the show last year. So if there are no pre sales, and corporate sponsor give-aways are done through things like amex. How does every seat in section 2 row 3 end up on ticket broker websites...
The only reasonable explanation is, that there is a shill in Jimmy's company, who promises XXX companies XXX tickets in return for YYY services.. Who then with ZERO intention of using them , bids them out to the highest broker.
Makes me really mad...

I agree with what you're implying. Did the same thing a few times and got great seats.TommyBahama wrote:i got front row for GW last year(Thursday show) and 4th row center for the Sat show...pulled tickets the day before ................in the Past i have pulled 2nd row twice for Gillette.......of 61 shows i've been to....i think i've bought tickets in advance for a handful!!!!clearlakeparrot wrote:I got 3rd row in Tampa from Ticketmaster the Weds before the show last year. If you want an experience, go to a Jimmy Buffett concert.
Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.
Life is short, live long!!
I'd rather be a wiseass than a dumbass.
