Ditto for me, I wouldn't mind a late summer date either.MonumentBeach wrote:Hey all,
I am constantly lurking here but figured it was time to make an appearance. I'm thinking a show annoucement has to be coming this week?
I'll take the GW shows whenever he wants to do them obviously, but I for one kinda miss the end-of-the-summer blowouts at GW. It was always something to look forward to and a great way to say goodbye to summer. It also provided for maximum tailgate prep time. I know he probably won't do a Labor Day weekend there again as long as the TPC is in Norton, but some late August shows would be nice.
Hope all is well with everybody!!!
I will take any time as long as it doesn't rain.lime rickie wrote:Ditto for me, I wouldn't mind a late summer date either.MonumentBeach wrote:Hey all,

I prefer a nice sunny day too. However, Jimmy - being the awesome guy that he is, always puts on a more lengthy set list without intermission if there is a storm. The Hurricane Show is still one of my all time favorites. Also, the already amazing Great Woods crowd seems to party even harder when it rains ... it is always a good time - rain or shine.tigzoe wrote:I will take any time as long as it doesn't rain.lime rickie wrote:Ditto for me, I wouldn't mind a late summer date either.MonumentBeach wrote:Hey all,

Shoot, forgot about Bike Week as far as things happening in NE in June.lime rickie wrote:Absolutely, tig, any time is the right time for JB. But (for me) the mid-June Father's Day weekend is also the Harley rally in Laconia...same thing happened last year...so I'm hoping for an August date.
And I guess I'm really greedy because I also wouldn't mind a Mohegan date on the fall, too.
Last year I had tix for both JB shows. In the interest of marital harmony I gave up my Saturday seat so we could head to the rally. And that was fun, too...just wish I could do both. I couldnt agree more.. the hurricane show was amazing! JB was on fire!
PH's always seem to have plenty of tarps, awnings and ez ups and never has been an issue. If anything, it becomes the ultimate wet t-shirt blow out! ahahah!!!! (must remember never to wear white to GW ever again!!!)
1st show i saw from the lawn.....or should i say mud!!!!!....what was cool about that , was the start time.....and going back to the hotel and hitting the hot tub and partying on there after!!TongaTam wrote:drunkpirate66 wrote:I prefer a nice sunny day too. Yep, 2009 with the hail...Dave kept grilling and Chris and Marlyn kept dancing.ScarletB wrote:What year did we have that huge thunderstorm roll through? 2009? That was something else. Dave just kept grilling right through it and I remember hearing about Zuke standing in the middle of the street yelling "IS THAT ALL YOU GOT?!!" while it was hailing.![]()
The party does seem to get better when the weather is weird.
I was somewhere there with you. Thankfully I was right at the railing so I had something to hold on to in the mud. I was drenched!TommyBahama wrote:1st show i saw from the lawn.....or should i say mud!!!!!....what was cool about that , was the start time.....and going back to the hotel and hitting the hot tub and partying on there after!!TongaTam wrote:drunkpirate66 wrote:I prefer a nice sunny day too.
