What year did we have that huge thunderstorm roll through? 2009? That was something else. Dave just kept grilling right through it and I remember hearing about Zuke standing in the middle of the street yelling "IS THAT ALL YOU GOT?!!" while it was hailing.
The party does seem to get better when the weather is weird.

I prefer a nice sunny day too. However, Jimmy - being the awesome guy that he is, always puts on a more lengthy set list without intermission if there is a storm. The Hurricane Show is still one of my all time favorites. Also, the already amazing Great Woods crowd seems to party even harder when it rains ... it is always a good time - rain or shine.

I couldnt agree more.. the hurricane show was amazing! JB was on fire!
PH's always seem to have plenty of tarps, awnings and ez ups and never has been an issue. If anything, it becomes the ultimate wet t-shirt blow out! ahahah!!!! (must remember never to wear white to GW ever again!!!)

That reminds me of the Field Day we had here at school a few years ago. It was a cool rainy day and it was the first year we had a water slide setup on the football field. The kids (high school) were wearing white Field Day t-shirts. I have never seen so many colorful lace bras and happy smiles on the boys!

We never had white shirts again!

I got stuck in the port-a potty during the storm (couldn't hold it any longer)!! I was already drenched getting there, so after I was done, I stood in the thing with the door open..finally I ran for it through the massive puddles (or should I say ponds).

Have to agree with Jon.....the Hurricane Hannah is probably my favorite show ever....and whenever RM plays "trying to Reason with Hurricane season" from that show that he put on the "ENCORES" CD, I always smile remembering Jimmy sing it live.
I actually enjoyed the show being early that day, and being back at the hotel to change clothes by 7pm..... and Larry & I going over to see Tommy and Fu at the Holiday Inn to party afterward.

I remember still being in the venue just after the show ended, talking to Jen. "I wish he had done Tryin' To Reason With Hurricane Season." Jen had this horrified look on her face. I said "Oh $h!t, he just did it, didn't he?"

The best moment, I felt, was just before Jimmy played God's Own Drunk. He made a gesture and said something to Mac telling him to get off the stage. It looked like Mac did a double take and said "are you sure" or something like that and Jimmy just waved his hand at him. A solo God's Own Drunk followed. Perfect moment. It looked like was completely impromptu to everyone involved . . . but Jimmy.

How about the downpour right after Jimmy sang "Let it rain" during "Stars on the Water"
The roar that went up from the lawn was incredible. And it rained so hard we were even ankle deep down in the first 10 rows because it came down the aisles like a stream.
That really was a great concert - I'm glad the ENCORES album has the encore from it.
