I know it's supposed to make me cringe, but hearing M'ville on the radio just makes me want to give you guys a hug.

Love back at ya kiddo - seriously, give it up and see a doctor. It's likely just a bad bruise but no sense in having something heal wrong that will give you problems later on. Brusing tends to travel especially if you're still walking around on it a lot but the pains up your leg might be reason to at least ask a doctor about it.

Please don't tell me to drink more. That's how this happened in the first place.
Damn you tequila shots! Damn you Mick Morgans! Damn you bad ankles and general clumsiness!
Thank you to everybody who watched me go down and didn't crack up in hysterical laughter.

Seriously. I haven't had time to stay off of it and keep it elevated until today (theoretically). I've got a few errands to run and then I'll be at home for the duration with ice packs and hopefully a crutch so I can keep some weight off of it next week. I swear it didn't really start hurting until I sobered up on Tuesday.

Yeah, it's so too late for that...it's been done.maid memories wrote:This is exactly how I explain it to my friends. I had so many people back in May asking me why I went to so many Buffett concerts and telling me they just didn't get it. Many of them come from "West Nashville Grand Ballroom Gown" type families and I asked them why they went to Derby and Steeplechase? At least we love the music, none of them are really passionate about horse racing and we're all getting dressed up, putting on stupid hats and drinking/tailgating the day away. It's just a different costume. I'd just rather do it for a concert than a 45 second horse race.jedivet wrote: I can name every Buffett album and list most episodes of The X-Files in order. That makes me no different than someone who knows the starting line-up for the Red Sox. Both geeks, but on differing subjects. That's my honest opinion of life. We are all the same, deep down. So can't we all just get along? (I wish!)
Everybody has something they're a geek about and we all have our guilty pleasures. Just live, let live and try to enjoy good people the things you have in common.

I'm not a physician, but I'm a doctor...and both as a veterinarian and as a recent minor trauma patient, I can tell you that elevation really does make a huge difference. Put it up. For reals. Quit screwing around with it.maid memories wrote:When I have time...?TommyBahama wrote:have you been icing it????maid memories wrote:In all seriousness, do we have any nurse/doctor types around here? And I agree that colors migrate and it's probably a sprain and going to the doc probably isn't going to make a huge difference, BUT if things don't improve within another few days/with actually taking it easy, I'd get it checked out. The sinking color is probably gravity, but the pains up the leg might be more serious...hm...tough one. My patients don't tell me these things.
