In my experience (phor whatever that's worth ) the best place to meet (not meat) is at the Food Lion shopping center right near the entrance of the venue. There's also a McDonald's right on the corner there. Big parking lot, so easy to meet (not meat) phor caravaning.
FYI: couple years ago we discovered that if you get there before they open the gates, and enough people line up on the entrance road, they WILL open the gates when the traffic backs up to the highway. I'm just sayin'....![[smilie=cheeky-grin.gif]](./images/smilies/cheeky-grin.gif "cheeky-grin")

As long as you don't line up on a "private" road.
