Going to Charlotte for the first time and I was wondering how early the gates open for tailgating? Atlanta, where I usually go, always says the gates will open at 4-5 but every year they always open at noon. Does anyone know what time we should be there? Thanks.
I believe last year they stated that they opened at 3pm but they opened the dates early because there were so many people lined up to get in. We're definately planning to arrive before 3pm. Even if we can't get in, it will be the pre-tailgate party.

Mornin' Charlotte concert-goers! According to the Parrothead Club of Charlotte, there are two pre-concert gatherings. The first will be held on April 16th starting 2:00-3:00 at Boardwalk Billy's Sardis location. The 2nd is April 20th starting at 5:00pm at the University location. Both pre-gatherings are to include island bands and drink specials. More details to come as I learn of them. Fins up...counting down to WTF.
