Who is going to watch American Idol?

OK...confession time....yes I watch Idol...it's one of the few reality shows I tune into. I do think the show will suffer with Simon Cowell gone. Love him or hate his attitude I think is was usually right.

Who is watching and who would rather have a root canal?

Sorry, not a big fan. Especially during the try-outs when so many people totally stink. There are only so many William Hung-type stuff I can listen to.

I haven't had a TV for almost 3 years but even when I did have one I never watched this. If I wanted to see a karaoke contest I'd find a local bar that had one.

I think the try outs are the best part. Driving home I was listening to the radio and the dj made the comment "Thanks to the miracle of plastic surgery, Steven Tyler now looks like Mary Tyler Moore"

I've never been one to watch it all, just bits and pieces but I watched for a few minutes and what I saw from Steven Tyler and Jenifer Lopez was good.

& I swear......Steven Tyler, Mick Jagger and Don Knotts must somehow all be related to each other.

This is the first time I actually watched the entire beginning and thought it was MUCH better than years past. And Yes, I am watching because of 64yr old Steven.

I'm not a fan of Tyler but thought he added a ton to the show. J-lo was not so entertaining for me. They let through a lot that never would have made it in the past. I usually quit watching after the train wreck episodes. I did think it was better that they didn't show as many circus acts. I will admit it was a lot better than I expected but my expectations were very low.

I have to say it has been a most enjoyable show. Steven Tyler had me laughing several times. There were some pretty moving performances as well. I need a tissue after that.
