Not only were there REALLY bad parking issues with the lots such that 3 hours of tailgating was lost......and everyone from BN was seperated and unable to park next to each other as usual for the last decade or so....

But the police were giving everybody a REALLY hard time about drinking anything....even in a cup?

I wonder if drinking water was a problem too.

& they were arresting people as well for litttle if any reason other then being at there and "jacking" them up on police cars?

This was the first year in 13 years that Gypsie Girl & I were too sick to make the concert and it sounds like it was for the best!

Sure hope I read the thread wrong and all had a great time but it sure doesn't read that way!

I'm still dealing with Diverticulitis, a fever and lots of pain in my side and have a GI specialist doctor appt tonight at 7pm.

Our sweet Gypsie Girl, as most of you know has been dealing with a REALLY bad upper respiratory infection for the last 7 months, after a work related trip to Omaha, Nebraska.

She has seen her PCP, an allergist, an immunologist, a pulmonologist, had X-Rays, CT scans with and without contrast multiple sets of bloodwork, an ultrasound of her entire chest......

She found a lump after the ultrasound and now needs more testing regarding that!

And regarding this breathing problem....

Now she needs to have 2 more tests and possibly a P.E.T. scan!

Then the last option is to go to an infectious disease doctor at Temple or Jefferson.

Someone like "Dr. Greg House" on TV.

So we are both ill to say the least and freaked about her lump and breathing problems!

So we just wanted to check in and hope that the JB concert was not the nightmare it sounds like!

For every complaint there are at least 100 happy thoughts. We might all be here complaining but the day was awesome, the people were even better, and the show was very fun. Jimmy and the Reefers really seemed to be having a great time on stage. We always spend so much time planning, anticipating, and pre-living the day in our minds. It will never compare to our daydreams, but in the end most left happy and glad they were there.

Breath in, breath out, move on.

Mick and Gypsie Girl, wow, please get better real soon, I was wondering about you, didn't know you were so ill. Will keep you in our thoughts and prayers.

My post yesterday is still true! I had an awesome time during my first trip to Camden.

Yes - the cluster trying to get into the lots was insane. The rest of the day made up for it.

I'm so glad I came and got to meet everyone. The New Jersey BN crew is a lot of fun. You all made me feel so welcomed. I had a blast out on the lawn with yall. I still can't believe I heard God's Own Drunk live. sigh...

Open invitation to any of yall to come down for a Texas show to return the hospitality.

I wish I was still there at the hangover party. Mary Kay - yall cash that check and use it for the party or put it in the Gabby fund.

Shrinky - it has been way too long my friend. Thank you for letting me crash at your place and for being my partner in crime. I returned you safe and with no headaches. Maybe sore feet but it is still better than the blisters from Erie!

Well I for one, had a great time, seeing old friends meeting new friends and trying to keep a positive outlook! That was difficult at times due to other more prevailing pessimistic attitudes, and my renegade son whom I threatened to end his life! (All's good, he's still breathing)It really wasn't as bad as some folks made it out to be. The worst part was being separated by such a distance! We were with a great group and still had an awesome time. The traffic jam was because there were (HS)graduations being held at Rutgers at the same time we were there, simple common sense solution would have been to open the lots!!!! This is a scheduling problem that should have been foreseen and adjusted by either Rutgers or the SBC. The police came around once, at the beginning of the tailgate and told us to take down the EZ up or be ticketed. They were very nice and patient with us, considering they were being screamed at for doing their jobs. We didn't take down our EZ up and they never came back to ticket us! They didn't understand the rule either and suggested we write to Susquehanna Bank Center and complain. Not because it was their rule but because they have pull and the power to change things. As far as boycotting the Susq, I'm not gonna do that! The reason most of us are there in the first place is to see & hear Jimmy Buffett. The acoustics in that center are awesome! Why would I want to go to a stadium where you can't understand what is being said or sung??? It turned out to be a great day, if you could steer away from the pessimistic/ negative personalities. Always look on the bright side of life!!!! Sorry for the rant, I'm tired of the Police being chastised for doing their jobs. They were following orders from their superiors, who weren't there to see the dumbassity of their decisions. Camden city government is brainless which is why it's the murder capital of the country! They lay off half the police force and then tell the other half to enforce the no tent rule all the while real crime is happening all over the city. Pffffttttt, I pity the Camden Police force for having to work for such idiots! As far as the scheduling problem and the unfriendly parking lot attendants, these things happen in life. GET OVER IT!!!!! They have happened before, they'll happen again, it's life. It's all in the way YOU handle it. A lesson TropicAl taught me a few tailgates ago!
