Do the number of concerts make them better or worse ?

Re: # of concerts
JB is the only artist I'm aware of that broadcasts the majority of his concerts live for his fans, first via the internet and now on satellite radio. Many of us choose to listen to some or all of the shows during the course of each season. Because of this it's easy to see the normal repetition of set lists and have complaints about his playing the same songs, etc. Despite this, I doubt any of us would want him to stop the live broadcasts.......
However; like many of us, I would love to see Jimmy, especially at this point in his career, mix in more of the "old stuff" and change up the set lists a bit more for each show. Who knows, maybe he will.....
Bottom line: I'm happy that JB and the CRB are still "out there", I enjoy all the shows whether in person or listening live, and look foward to as many years as possible enjoying his brand of music and escapism.....

Love the escapism, but wish I saw him during the good ole days to hear the older stuff. Though I love the song, before the 5 o'clock days. From listening online a lot this past tour, it seems like he says the same things over and over again (obviously, since he plays the same songs over and over again).
Ed, don't forget ustream. Though he didn't do it every show, he did put live feeds up there for all of us to see.

Good point......and more meaningful after the events of the past 24 hours, too.....tigzoe wrote:Love the escapism, but wish I saw him during the good ole days to hear the older stuff. Having been to about 100 of his shows, I would have to say that they are all good and all slightly different. The venue, the crowd, Jimmy's mood, my mood and lord knows what else, seems to impact how they come across. I've never been truly disappointed in his shows, other than when he was an opener for the Eagles and his sets were too short.

I'm not sure I understand the question. Are you asking if Buffett has gotten better in concert over the years?chrisintampa wrote:Do the number of concerts make them better or worse ?

I voted they are all good, but actually they get better all the time when I think of his age and how much longer he will be doing this. I would love to get front row tickets but have never been able to figure out how without going to the scalper sites. And I just can't afford that or I probably would do it!!!
