"Most" people stayed in their seats -respecting his space. There was a few rude poeple that went up for a gawk. It was dark - we could not see - however, the newspaper article has it as a head injury - no mention of limbs. So guessing they are ok .

First - all thoughts and prayers for speedy recovery to Jimmy. I'm sure that look on his face reflected the feelings going on inside when the world lit up and earth disappeared from beneath him.

Second - A positive in this is that it was the last song of the last show (at least for Australia, not New Zealand).

Third - Can't wait to hear the jokes Jimmy weaves into Welcome To Fin Land about this "incident".....and the next Jamaica Mistaka song!

Last - Did the traffic from the Parrothead Nation's concern for our fearless leader REALLY, TRUELY bring the BuffettNews web servers to it's knees for the entire (in North America) day?!? Don't we throw that kind of traffic at it on a regular basis during ticket buying frenzies and concert night thread chats?!?!? Yes, Twitter and Facebook and TMZ and everything else filled in, but I felt a real "hole" not being able to get all the extra here that the mainstream media doesn't fill in.

AND, that other BuffettN.... site was even more out of commission. Just don't get it.

And we're BACK!!! Thank GOD it seems like he's going to be OK. This was not a fun day.

And TMZ you S*CK!! Paying to publish pictures both of the fall and his being wheeled away - I thought you couldn't sink any lower on the journalism scale but you outdid yourselves.

As news of today came out it appears that Jimmy is now stable and should be released from the hospital soon. Here's to your speedy and full recovery, Mr. Buffett!

He was floating down around the end of our row for a bit of the concert - must have known the people ..... people got there fast - Jimmy was the only one on stage when it happened.

Seriously!! WTH, TMZ! I mean they were one of the first news wires I saw this morning on it that 'had' the story, but I just can't see these guys as a 'legit' news source. They did, after all, have a "worst case scenario" story later onthat I saw a link to in a comment section earlier that mentioned "things greatly exaggerrated" to say the least!

But very thankful JB seems to be Ok.

FWIW, the news made whats called a "Readspike" on the Bloomberg Terminal today. That means that one of the first wires that came out this morning on the story crossed 500 users on the Bloomberg across 50 firms in 5 minutes. (We monitor news readership here to what is going on in the markets. Typically 'readspikes' are 90% Financial related in story.) All my non-PH friends were msging me all day about it. Made for an interesting morning!
