NY - Buffett-esque places ?

Post by peterb »

Hello,

on my way to NYC for a 2 week business stay. There unfortunately is no Margaritaville there so I am looking for any nice bars or restaurants with that Island feel. Sofar I have found one place in Midtown called Reunion but if anyone could point me towards any other places where I can enjoy the music I love (Buffett, Zac Brown) I will be very gratefull. Other tips are also welcome ! I am staying in midtown, near Rockefeller center.

Thanks phriends,
Peter

That may or may not be true (about my knowledge of NYC), but I don't look for Buffett-esque places here, or anywhere else. If I happen to stumble across one, and I don't know of any in NYC, I might stop in to see what it's like but finding Buffett-esque bars is not high on my list of things to do. Sorry

Well, that's what I figured, that if anyone might have run into one in their travels it might be you.

Not Buffett-esque in the music sense, but for outstanding Cuban food, Victor's Cafe on w 52nd St is *fabulous*!

Not an Island bar, but The Rodeo Bar is a great place to spend some time, great music too.

Not really Buffett-esque but a new Hofbrau Bierhaus opened up in midtown last month. I was there last Friday and the Oompah band played a great bavarian version of Margaritaville. The place was a lot of fun. They have long tables (seat yourself) and the atmosphere is just like Oktoberfest. It was fun to stand on the bench and do a German Bierfest sing-a-long to Margaritaville :D
