If you mean the guitar player with the 'fro and the mustache, no. It's Bernie Leadon, the guy on the left in this picture.

Nope. That would be Bernie Leadon with the Buffettesque 70's 'do and 'stache.

There is an Eagles-Buffett connection...Timothy B Schmit toured with JB from 83-85

Jimmy opened for the Eagles back in *the day*.
I'm too lazy to look up the specifics now though, but I think (?)
it might have been during the '74 (ish?) Hotel California tour.

And JB has done at least two Concert for Walden Woods. I know the first one had Don Henley, Glen Frey, and Timothy B Schmidt on the bill.

Buffett also inducted The Eagles into the Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame. They also shared the same manager (Irving Azoff) for a while which is probably what helped lead to them touring together back in the 70s.

I saw Jimmy open for the Eagle in March of '77 at Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto

I know there are some bootleg recordings of at least one of those shows with Jimmy playing with one or more of those 3 Eagles. I had one somewhere.

I believe he also came up with the word "parrothead" or at least inspired it with something he said to Jimmy.

The one where Henley sits in with him on "Volcano" (or vice-versa) aired as part of Westwood One's concert series so it was professionally recorded.

"Is this JB with The Eagles?"
No, but this is:
l to r: Glenn Frey, JB, Joe Walsh and Don Felder
Don Henley is on the drums and unrecognizable (back when he was the only drummer)
Jimmy opened for the Eagles' Hotel California (1977) and The Long Run (1980) tours. This picture is from Jan '80 at Florida Field (before it was renamed Ben Hill Griffin Stadium) in Gainesville. This is right after they sang "Greeks..." as an encore. My brother snapped this photo. He also got a shot of Jimmy holding a baby earlier in the day. That baby is none other than Savannah Jane (at the time she was 7 months old). I've often wondered if Jimmy would like a copy of that picture.
BTW, the Eagles "rugby" shirt Jimmy is wearing cost around $8 (if you wanted to splurge), otherwise you just bought the t-shirt which cost $6. My how times have changed.

Was that the 9/6/93 concert at Foxborough? Or was there another? If so, that was a Henley concert that Jimmy "sat in" on for Margaritaville and Volcano. A very good listen.
