Last night Grace and the band came home and performed a show called "Goodnight Irene" which was a benefit for Hurricane Relief in Vermont. It was also broadcast on Vermont Public Television and webcast thru their website....Grace debuted a new song she wrote about the Hurricane called " The Mad Mad River" ( the Mad River runs thru Grace's hometown)
It was a helluva show!

My internet connection was sketchy has hell so I didn't get to see much of it, but caught a few songs and the ending cover of "Goodnight Irene"....that was sweet.

Yes, " Dear Prudence" so good. Gotta see them live one day, without Kenny Chesney! Here's a link to Elvis Presley Blues recorded at Relix magazine. So cool.

You do need to see them live. Everyone needs to see them live, without KC.

Saw them Sunday in Kansas City. They opened for Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw. Her and her band were awesome. They rocked the place, where a bunch of the country folks didn't like it. I would like to see them headline a concert.

I get to see them open in Denver for KC and TM. Sort of. I'm working a beer stand as a fundraiser for my daughter's school during the show.

Will be seeing them this August at a outdoor "lawn only" venue in Grand Rapids.
Hope the new album translates well live.

Really liking the new album....I had a *slight* fear that she may lean towards country......thank you Goddess Grace for not disappointing me!

Previewing the new one.
"The Divide"....kicks azz!!!
Title track rocks pretty good too.
"Turntable", solid rock dance tune.
"Never go Back"....seems to be the first "single" from the LP. Catchy.
"Loneliest Soul" is interesting. Something about the Childrens choir doing their na-na-na is a bit hypnotic. Like the beat.
Some other interesting stuff. Will need to settle into it a little more.
Again, I'm interested to hear how this stuff comes up Live. Many times tunes take on a whole different personna in concert.

Love "The Divide" as well.....Never Go Back is wonderful angry b**** music....
My past experiences with Grace is the live is infinitely better than studio.....and studio is awesome.
I've got tickets for a July 20 show....super stoked.

I was offered tickets to the show a couple hours before it started, but had such a rough day at work that we passed on them and laid in bed and watched it online.....but we're working at Grace's lakeside festival this September, so we'll see her then

I should check Facebook more often. Grace and the guys are doing an acoustic set at a Best Buy in NYC. It started at 6:00, I saw the post about 1/2 hour ago. Oh well.
