There are orch seat Sec2 available on ticketmaster right now. Oh how I wish they had tailgating this year. I might have sucked it up for that long, long drive.

If they had tailgating those seats would likely not be available. If that makes you feel any better.

Great just got back from Cincy last night. Trying to talk myself out of buying tickets. Do I really need to drive 8 hours to see JUST a concert. That and my wife would kill me :D

Where are people sitting once inside? Lawn seats? Pavilion? My friends I got with my bail on me leaving me to myself. If that ends up happening, I want to find some of you guys and hang out. Well, I want to find some of you regardless but you may get the pleasure (or pain) of having to spend the whole show with me. :)
oh great... and no drinking allowed to buffer the effect of this... :D :D
And believe me, that really is too bad for any folks I meet. Of course, since there isn't too much drinking, I may not be that bad. Baawwaaaahhaaaa.... 8)

People were saying on facebook that you apparently are herded to the 2 sides where are the beer and food sales are. They haven't been opening the seating/lawn area until about 30 mins before show time. There are some picnic type tables available in those areas.
OMG. Really? What are these people thinking? In the words of Mr Hand, are they stoned?

Actually as disappointing as it would be to have it cancelled, wouldn't they be surprised when EVERYONE wanted their money back instead of a ticket to a re-scheduled event?

A couple of years ago he started early because of a hurricane at GW, if memory is correct.

Yup, but that was more of a tropical storm by the time it got here but yes, he started at 3 instead of at 8 and the lots opened at 9 or so I think. I think this is a little more of a serious situation in VA.

The forecast isn't looking too healthy for having a show on Saturday night.... Storm has slowed way down and is now forecast to hug the coast; west of the previous track. If nothing changes, Manassas/Bristow will probably be seeing tropical storm conditions on Saturday evening...

And I wonder what happens if they move it to Sunday.... Does Mac's show at the State Theater get canceled/rescheduled? (I would bet so)
*edit* They can't move it to Sunday; Journey is playing JLL on Sunday....

Yup. Moved the show to 3PM, lots opened at 8AM.

San Diego was pushed back by one day due to flooding a handful of years ago, too.

That would just screw the fans even more. Had that happen to me for Don Henley a couple years ago. Ticketmaster kept my service charge and refunded the rest. Then I had to re-buy tickets for the new show at the same time and date but a different location and Ticketbastard got a second surcharge out of me. They didn't care that I wanted to complain.

Just saw this on a friend's facebook wall:
Re: JIFFY LUBE LIVE concert this Saturday. Just got off the phone with a Rep. from Margaritaville and was told that IT IS UP TO JIMMY to make the decision on holding this concert and that decision would not be made until THE DAY OF THE CONCERT! I was told that this happened in MA a few years ago and Jimmy decided to start the concert EARLY the same day instead of cancelling it. I was also told to keep checking Margaritaville.com for any possible announcements!

We are still heading in from PA as well. We are going to John Prine on Friday night but moved our Fri night hotel from Manassas to Fairfax. We still have the room Saturday night in Manassas for Jimmy (just in case).
